Yes I was with zen about 15 years ago too as it happens. Not sure why I left them tbh... they were more of a small business provider then that didn’t do much household broadband. they seem same as then but with a much better consumer facing end to the business.

Just switched from plusnet to zen. Plusnet were terrible to deal with - a small good company a few years ago that has now expanded way beyond what they can manage. They take 30-45 mins to answer the phone, pass you around three diff departments, can’t fix your problem, randomly cut you off and then when they reconnect you they extend your contract for 2 years without asking you (really), and took 3 months to connect me when I first moved here.

Zen on the other hand are amazing. You get through to someone (quickly) who actually knows what they are talking about. My switch was flawless. Now have much faster broadband for same price and the router is far better - reach in my house is now useful rather than useless. The difference is night and day.

I had an annoying squeak / creak coming from the chainstays (some sks longboards). Creaked on every pedal stroke and was worse if I was sat down. I just squeezed the mudguard by hand to give a mm of space either side. Has stayed put and sorted the noise.

(This was after I had removed, regreased, and reinstalled the seatpost, saddle clamp, saddle rail, pedals, crank arms, chainset bolts in search of the offending creak...! Ffs).

Not sure where to post this (sorry - pls say if there's somewhere for posts like this) but I went past the end of Beddlestead Lane (nr Biggin Hill) earlier this pm, there was a big home made sign warning that the road has had tacks scattered on it. Thought I'd post somewhere on here in case some idiot removes the sign.

In the end I bought some SKS longboards - they fit well. No idea why I couldn't get the chromoplastics to work but the longboards worked fine. And they're lovely mudguards - so nice to have the extra coverage.

It is quite small but I can fit in a butyl tube, a multi tool, two tyre levers, some nitrile gloves, and at a push also a CO2 cannister.
