Always thought paddle boards look #easy

I run with custom orthotics and was advised to go to a neutral shoe

I’m wary of shop run assessment because 9/10 the answer is Kayanos

Hah, I’d never been sea fishing before. I used to fish in rivers and lakes and kinda know the drill. But my lad is in some kind of survivalist phase and was in the mood to eat whatever we caught, so I was kinda relieved he didn’t get anything, because I wasn’t in the mood to kill anything.

He did however, chisel a limpet off a rock so we had to cook that and he ate it…

Abingdon Marathon is a nice fast course, good luck!

I invented y own 8 week plan, but I was running a fair amount at that point.

It’s very simple but you need 9/10 weeks ideally.

I called it “8 big runs”
Each week you run a 5k a 10k and a big run the first week is a half marathon.

Each week you add a little bit to the big run until in the 8th week where you should be doing a little over 30km

Then you taper for two weeks just doing the 5k and 10k (if you really Feel the need)

It’s not scientific but it’s easy to remember and it works for me

A lot of #effort for no result

Yeah vert skater guy is a freak

That’s gotta suck, my stuff is just endless tweaks niggles and shin splints.
Generally the background noise of active pain slowly increasing in volume

I want to be doing what I do now at the age of 60. I know a few guys who are still going strong. They aren’t obsessive, but can still hold their own on a bike or running or surfing….Christ one buddy is still skating vert ramps in his mid 60s.

I don’t think these guys are outliers, I hope they aren’t, because I definitely am extremely average athletically
