Vaseline, double socks, check inside the shoes to see if there are likely seams that rub. If so taping over them with gaffer tape can smooth out the seams as well

Weird, an old friend sent me footage of a gig we played from 24 years ago. It’s nice to hear now with a lot of water under the bridge. I got nostalgic and thought about doing something again, but I barely have time to scratch my arse.

I renewed my home insurance last year. Massive price hike including mandatory insurance on stuff we don’t have.
LV said it was non-negotiable. I spent 40 minutes banging my head against a wall explaining that every contract ever written was negotiable.
I then asked to be put through to claims, said I didn’t have a claim but I would like to negotiate my renewal. They negotiated. The renewal price was £30 higher than the previous year rather than the initial £300 -

Called them spoke for 3 hours and yes they owe me but I have to call at a different time to get the money. -
The other point is that chuggers can raise “unrestricted income”.
Charities get grants from governments or other organisations but often this is restricted in what it can be spent on.Imagine the political backlash if a charity was given money to feed starving kids but spent it on laptops in an unrelated area of the organisation or maybe funded a support group for trans people in an oppressive state?
Chugging is one way to get funds that can be used across the NGO

London Fixed Gear and Single-Speed is a community of fixed gear and single-speed cyclists.
I have some mates who work for defra with farmers and I spoke with them a lot before and after Brexit about which way “farmers” would vote (and if leave why?).
What a lot of people and surveys don’t do is draw a distinction between the farmers and the employees. This is the countryside and of course there’s a massive class divide.
In general the farmers were more likely to vote remain (according to my buddies), but the workers were more likely to vote leave because…the Sun, talk radio, Facebook horseshit.
The only semi coherent argument against the EU doing the rounds (and it was a non-argument) was that the EU agricultural policy allowed the more wealthy farmers to game the system and grow wealth and an exponential rate that would force smaller farms out of business. As I said before it was a non argument because it was about a policy that could have been changed without leaving the EU.
So in short Farmers and Farm workers are not the same (despite them all being covered in shit and tying their trousers up with string)
