I’m really happy with my Mr Pink.
I keep thinking ooh carbon disc road bike would be nice, then I ride the All City and the feeling passes. It’s a really comfortable and quick(ish) bike.

In real life: the only time I hear about it is “oh fuck I forgot to charge the Di2”

I’m guessing the power usage is minimal and some kid in DRC was digging up the cobalt anyway for my next phone so that argument falls flat.
But I am also concerned about inbuilt redundancy, or a few years down the line where intelligent shifting will be a thing and there will be a chip and memory and you’ll need to do a firmware upgrade to get out of the big ring

My buddy spent £5k on his “last bike” at 50. We ride with a guy in his late 60s who seems pretty capable so I doubt it’s his last bike.

I feel that I have kinda achieved final bike status some years back with the custom steel thing
