Not sure if spamming other threads is against rules, but in case anyone local is interested.
Cheers!

This is a warranty replacement from a Genesis Flyer that I had.
This bike is unused, comes with owners manuals etc (not much of a selling point).
You can see my receipt for the bike stuck to the frame.I'm selling because in the time waiting for the replacement bike, I sorted myself out with another bike.
This is a size large, 55cm/22" seat tube, I'm 6ft and large frame is ideal for me.
All specs can be found here - https://www.genesisbikes.co.uk/bike/day-one-10The bike RRP is £749.99, can't seem to find it cheaper anywhere else at the moment. I'd like £600 for it + postage (about £35). I can do PayPal if buyer wants to cover PayPal costs or bank transfer.
Based in Edinburgh.
"WITH ITS EFFICIENT, LOW-MAINTENANCE SINGLESPEED DRIVETRAIN AND POWERFUL CONSISTENT DISC BRAKES, THE DAY ONE 10 MIGHT JUST REPRESENT THE IDEAL URBAN COMMUTER.
One speed to rule them all! With optimised 'just right' gearing (67 gear inches for those curious) that provides a happy medium for urban landscapes, the Day One 10 is perhaps the ideal low-maintenance, simplified daily workhorse for inner city jaunts. We've left ample room for full-length 'guards for year-round, dry bottom commuting, and equipped it with inclement weather-proof disc brakes to ensure confidence-inspiring, stop-on-a-dime braking performance! All this combined with the its reflective graphics mean the Day One 10 is the ultimate no nonsense year round commuter."

Definitely! The part I ran anyway.
From West Linton to Peebles, which is part of the Old Drove Road and looks as if it's highlighted on the map you linked, would be great for mtb or cross. All single track, farm roads, minor single roads, a few rockier bits and a few patches of marsh. You could definitely take a bike over it and would be great fun.

Trail looks good. Does that follow part of the old droves road?
@I_am_lono from what I've seen I think it is just the Ronde cafe being kept open. I think the bike sales have stopped

I'd say so.
Be good to have an Edinburgh based thread again.
There used to be an Edinburgh fixed gear website. I think it was run by Neek? He moved to Glasgow I'm sure, and the website and community sort of fell with it. Not sure if it started again or not, but sounds as if it has.In other news, Ronde has closed its doors?! Anyone know anything about this?
Quick spam:
If anyone is interested, or you know anyone interested, I'll be putting up a Genesis Day One 10 2019 up for sale in a few days. Brand new, warranty replacement, size L.
Selling it because I bought another bike in between all the hassle of sorting out the replacement Genesis. -
