Those 3 holes in the lugs and shot in stays are usually the mark of a Strada Speciale and not a King of Mercia :). Very nice :D

The rear hub is not for fixed / track as it only has a single threading, for a five speed freewheel most likely...

Yep,. The Wilson frame. Carlton were very proud of their lugs and used their own designs such as the Capella and Crespera on their frames only.

When Carlton closed in the 80's they flogged off surplus stuff and there is the odd (only one I know of) frame from the 80's with Carlton lugs but not made by Carlton.
