I'm on the lookout for a Peugeot 753 frame (or full bike), preferably in good condition. I would need a 56-58cm top tube. Perthus Pro, anyone? I've got most of a lovely 7400 groupset just waiting to hang... I'm in Yorkshire, but down in London pretty often, or otherwise prepared to travel/pay postage.

I was there this year, as last.
It wasn't as good for me this year, but I guess that's partly personal, partly weather. Like others, we ended up quite a long way from the festival - and the toilets, which is a bit of an issue with kids.I agree with the comments about the festival/sellers not being such a good match to the ride participants. Like others, I'm not very interested in much of it. I met folks there who have no interest in riding bikes, but said they "just like dressing up and drinking beer"!
Would be nicer if it was smaller (about half the size)/less commercial, but I can understand organisers needing to make it profitable.
I thought the route this year (100 miles) was a bit nicer, with much less traffic, but the combination of hills and 42/25 makes it harder. Also, the feed stops weren't so good, and weren't so well-spaced (16 miles, 35 miles, 65 miles, 80 miles, 93 miles). I found the signage OK, although the map was no good. Chatsworth was a bit of an anti-climax after last year, huh?
I'm sure I will go back next year - but thanks for the suggestion of RR.

Thanks for the replys and PMs all - I'm now sorted for the front and rear mechs. My stem "woes" continue, though; the fork is unthreaded currently which leaves me two options, unless anyone can think of another?
a) Junk the perfectly good Campag threadless headset and buy a threaded headset, cut the steerer and get a quill stem.
b) Get a retro-looking (??) ahead stem, with shims fore and aft, unless anyone knows of a 1" steerer/26.0 or 26.4 ahead stem?
I'd welcome any thoughts. Once I get the bits together, I'll post some photos in the builds section. -

I'm after a pair of 7402 mechs (front braze-on) in really good condition to finish off the Master frame I just bought. Can I part one of you good people from one?
Also, a seatpin (220mm), and a nice quill stem (110mm). I'm not sure I can stretch to the £125 that someone on ebay is looking for (matching Colnago item; nice, but not £125 nice)!
I'm ooop North, but I come down to London regularly - or will pay postage.

An expresso machine, you say?
