Oh really? Shame you're not closer, as haven't yet made the not-funny reference to mine forever being available for sale if I stopped riding it long enough to advertise, this week.
They are a goldilocks bike in my opinion. Unlike a lot of the more exciting 600's they are actually rideable in any situation.

If anyone is passing near Swindon or Devizes, I’ll be selling two Singer 201k machines.
One is hand-crank cast iron, the OG black 201.
One is black the later slightly lighter 201, with motor, all working in its suitcase with extension bit for the base. Original flat balance wheel, as well as an extra spoked balance wheel which improves use (torque, easier to run by hand the first/last stitch, can fit a hand crank).
They’re way too heavy to post: probably cost too much to make it worthwhile to anyone.

Well. Grip is non-existent.
The tyres tried their best to find what little they could, but they are rock solid and slippery compared to the worn-out Michelin/IRC tyres that came off. Get what you pay for, for sure.
Gonna see how long I can tolerate these before saving enough money to replace them with proper gummy trials tyres. I can see them being popular on trail bikes and LDT’s, but for pure trials nope.

Meanwhile, with torrential rain outside, I fitted the MT43’s to the Sherco ST300.
I have a tubeless rim tape/valve thing on order, so there’s a tube in the tubeless rear for now. Hopefully I don’t rip the valve off too quickly in the mean time. At the low level of my practice it’s only likely if the tyre squirms of its own accord.

Four months on, I haven’t sorted the side door handle. Been opening it from the inside handle for the time being.
Van has had an oil leak that was progressively painting the drive. Lots of back pressure, looked like the leak was anywhere and everywhere through the rocker cover.
Popped it into the mechanics today with a megabucks genuine Ford rocker cover, new stretch bolts and injector seal/washers.
Drove it back and it felt like a different engine. I won’t jinx it whether there’s any sign of the leak returning yet.

This is my logic with the CBR600. Age aside, 600 is more than enough. 100-110hp is still more than some cars on the road, power:weight massive vs most cars. So, easy to overtake, easy to get in and out of trouble.
Very easy to throw about in traffic, very easy to get points on the license. Easy to sit under the little wind protection at legal speeds, and mostly comfortable while doing it.
Any engine bigger is just not worth it to me. 600’s will do distance without crying.

My CBR600 F3’s is hardly in airflow, under the panel beside the seat. I fitted a little PC fan on top of mine to promote a little cooling and it hasn’t popped recently.
