Calling myself out, passed a young lady on the inside, along the quite road/cycle lane by LSBU. She was in the centre of the lane, and I couldn't pass on the outside, so I went on the inside by the curb. She decided to change her line coming right up to said curb, just as I'm parallel, so I shout a "woah!" and get a load of abuse for not passing on the outside. Sorry!

Agreed with Antidotes and yoav...
Get yourself to the tourist info building next to St Pauls, and ask for the free cycling maps. They have inside the recommended cycle lanes/roads across central. There's a map for most areas out a few zones. They don't exactly tell you where to avoid, but do help when you find somewhere you dislike.
I cycle frequently Old St and E&C, but both have minor roads you can use to avoid them. In fact it can be quicker to cycle around, depending on traffic (and how assertive you are).
Since the works on/around Westminster I noticed more hassle at busy times.
Also Bow, that's one people claim to avoid. I've not tried it, since it's so far out my way.

Someone last week was riding the midday session with one arm strapped to his chest in a sling. Where there's a will there's a way. Get well skülly.
