Raced for the first time this evening on a set of Carbonzone 60mm track tubs as per..http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171737793015
Ordered on the 26th May...received on the 2nd June. £30 import taxes, total of £250ish. Very happy for the price. Yes they're not the latest shape, but hey, I only really plan on going round in circles indoors on them.
Also, tubs felt reeeaaallly bumpy on the rollers, but not on the track...guess I shouldn't worry about it.

Spotted the Carbon fibre folder http://www.lfgss.com/conversations/249544/ along Agar Grove this morning. Looking good!

Don't know if you're a parent or not, but being responsible for someones life is scary...from the quote it's not beyond imagination that at the moment of impact she thought that her daughter was dead, before the screaming confirmed otherwise. Why exactly would you want to pick holes in the account anyway?

Hey @DragunovCZ1, still got the silver 51T Zen?

Had a nice death threat from a driver who basically suggested I looked at him funny. Passed him while he was making a three point turn...he wasn't in my way so I didn't think anything of it, a minute later he's made another three point turn in order to drive along side me for a while and ask if I have a problem with him, to which I reply that I have no idea what he's on about. He then said I turned my cheek when I went past him...still no clue what he's on about. carried on my normal route across London Fields - said he'd see me on the other side and kill me. Genuinely have no idea what his problem was or what facial expression I may have had in order to incur his wrath. Anyways, he had plenty of opportunity to run me over so was obviously bullshitting. Not a pleasant way to end the week nevertheless.

Saw what I think was a level 2 session before the legacy event last Saturday, no one slid down the banking, but there was some seriously sketchy riding going on...so much so that one of the commissars for the legacy event went to have a word with the coach about it. I'm sure it wasn't that bad when I did level 2, or maybe I was just too naive and inexperienced to notice!

I'm a bit late to the conversation here, but the terrible online reviews of Miche cassettes are well deserved. I used a couple as an alternative for Campy cassettes and the first one I used started shedding teeth from the most regularly used sprockets after 6 months...I figured it was a one off and got another one which then lost teeth after only a few months before one of the sprockets completely split. Have gone back to Campy and had no problems since.

I'd love it if Wiggins won P-R...last year it was great having both himself and Thomas at the front of the race. I can't help but fell that all the things he's saying now about P-R (the history...his best form etc...) are exactly the same things he was saying before the Giro in 2013, when as the going got tough, he backed off, and ultimately out.

Thanks for the replies...just to clarify, none of the test was carried out below my starting FTP, and 80% was above my target FTP....the target average power for the interval being about 30W above my target FTP. I suspect the difference between the methods is mostly psychological, with reduced effort at the start allowing more pain tolerance at the end. It also helps to avoid boredom because of the constant changes in effort!
Anyways, the next session in my plan is 3x9min over/unders. I imagine that should be fairly informative as to whether I've got the right number!

FTP testing question....so this evening I did my third FTP test on TR, and my pacing has improved immensely. However, I am riding the tests essentially as a ramp, picking a target FTP, and riding negative splits at first and rising gradually through the interval so that on average I hit my target. Is this a sensible way of doing these, or should I aim for a more consistent power throughout the interval? Or is it simply get as much power out as you can in any way you can?
In any case, the results of my latest test means that TR is gonna get a lot more painful...

Almost knocked off again while crossing this roundabout from W-E...driver heading N-S set off from the give way lines as I was on the roundabout but had their eyes focused on their lap, probably texting. I braked and stopped, and they fortunately looked up at the last second and brake, stopping mm from my forks and front wheel. Idiot.

FYI...some open events coming up at the Velodrome. On Saturdays too, thus making it easier for the likes of me with busy weeknights to ride! Have entered the first one, fingers crossed on getting a place.

They are Challenge Crono SC actually...had them glued in my LBS. Did ponder whether it was due to the weight of the overly long valve extensions too...
