Stretching the definition of Road Bike but there we go...
After a new bike for my girlfriend, to be used as commuter, weekend road rides and very light tourer .
General wants are: clearance for 28mm (or 32mm if possible) tyres, disc brakes (mechanical fine), rear rack mounts. And not too expensive. Easy eh?
Can be a "mens" bike if they do one small enough - partner is 5ft 4" - will need something around a 51.
Any ideas? Have been looking at the Pinnacle Arkose 1 Womens but £700 is pushing it.

I believe that some couriers contracts are worded so that they can bill for attempting to deliver (as opposed to only billing for successful deliveries), so it can be in their interest not to get the stuff to you as then they can bill for the actual delivery at a later date as well as well as any earlier "attempts". Might explain some of the more cynical examples above - ripe for exploiting.

Statement says: "After crossing the line with her arms in the air, stage winner Lizzie Armitstead appeared to lose control and veer left, clipping photographers positioned beyond the finish line".
Not sure about that - looked to me more like she only lost control and veered left because she was jamming her hands back towards her bars in panic as she realised she was heading towards the people.
Anyway, not a blame game. Heal up.

crashed into the official photographers. Should they be that close? Looks pretty nasty - hands nearly still off the bars celebrating when they collide: http://www.itv.com/news/anglia/update/2015-06-17/video-dramatic-finish-as-cyclists-crash-on-womens-tour/

One Dawes Mixte Frame & Fork! now £20.
The BB is "newish" - it was put in probably 6 months ago and hasn't been used since if at all, though the bike has lived on my only semi-covered balcony.
Reynolds 500 Steel.
Some surface rust on one of the stays but nothing that looks chronic to me.
You can have the bars in the pictures or can remove if preferred.
When built up for my girlfirend it was a nice, fairly light 5 speed steed.
Located in SE4 (Brockley) but could probably bring it elsewhere locally in the evenings.

@tyeness It's me best bidon, though that's not entirely difficult as it's competition is a SiS freebie. Technically it belongs to my girlfriend, but crucially, the colours go better with my bike!
Like an idiot, I have managed to strip the thread out of one of the rotor bolt holes on my hub on my disc brake wheelset.
Is the hub now a write-off, or is there anything I can do to fix? Or just run it with 5 bolts?
