If I have a frame with a short head tube & threaded headset, and threaded forks with a very long steerer tube, what will happen if I cut off the threaded section of the forks, swap the top of the headset and run it threadless?

Will I die?

Probably should have made this post a couple of months ago when the great editor drought was at its peak, but the productions paused for lockdown have created a glut of post work and I’m constantly asked for recommendations when I’m busy for jobs

I cut mostly factual/doc stuff, I try/would like to do feature stuff as much as possible but I get a lot of offers for dispatches and panorama, C4 and ITN factual one offs and daytime/ evening fact ent type stuff. If that’s up any other editors’ street I’d be glad to pass on details next time I’m asked. And if you need a (minor) award winning and only gently combative editor we can swap real names through dm.

Scan do good speccable laptops as well as the various others mentioned above, have heard anecdotally that because of the chip shortage prebuilt stuff is much better value than build your own at the moment.

If you’re not playing games or doing video work the graphics on chip in ryzens or i5s are fine, a dedicated card just drains battery and will be underpowered compared to the desktop equivalent anyway. 16gb ram preferable to 8 but seems to be expensive in laptops.

Imo the new macs blow everything else out of the water, MacBook Air with the M1 chip is a grand, lovely screen and all day battery

Is the hole at the back of the fork bigger than the hole at the front? You may need old style but fitting or more modern recessed bolt

@pdlouche, can you print on both sides of the window sticker ones? Hypothetically speaking would a sticker that said “I’m a cunt” on the outside and “you’re a cunt” on the inside be possible? Might be useful for slapping into the windscreens of cunts who need reminding of their cuntiness as well as a warning to others of the cuntiness within?
