I feel the same about flats. Since getting some proper riding shoes and changing to flats over the last few months I've become way more confident on trails. Definitely recommend proper shoes though, the new waterproof Five Tens are nice.

My current commute through high st Ken and Bayswater is an absolute mind boggle. If it's not a van parked in the middle of the road unloading stuff, it's people not using roundabouts properly. Constantly feel like I'm stuck in a death trap.

@ioreka I don't mind taking my mtb if you'd like to use the crossbike. It may be a little small, but I can change to a longer stem (110/100 from 60) and put the seat post up?
