The original paint was fantastic. Hence my comment why I don't understand the previous owner painted over it.

Is the anodizing different between the black H+Son Archetype rims and the 'Hard Anodized' (gray) ones?

The name would suggest so, but after some googling I read different answers. Some say the Hard Anodized version is indeed tougher, while others say it's just the name (and colour obviously) that's different (both are anodized the same way).

True, but also might be a bit boring. I've seen a couple of classic frames on this forum built up with modern Shimano and although they admittedly look and work good, I might go a different route (hence the Campagnolo). But nothing is set in stone yet.

Yeah the seattube turns out the be Max as well. Thanks, lucky indeed.

Fork is threaded. As for plans; I'm going all black components. First I thought of Di2 for the groupset, but I think I'm gonna put a nice black Campy groupset on it. Probably along with some carbon wheels. Should be good.
