Currently it’s 30mm front (Schwab g-one speed) and 32mm rear (conti 4 seasons) it will clear 32 front too, but there’s been a degree of bodging to get that clearance.
The fenders are PDW, the 37s I think. I used the axle tabs that come with the fenders, as the frame doesn’t currently have fender mounts. This is fine on the front with QR but the rear ones were a massive PITA as they were too narrow to clear the PW rear hub bolts so I had to drill them out. I also had to zip tie the rear brake bridge to get some extra clearance.
I’ve had this setup for about 3 years and it been great, bit of a pain if you get a flat but you get used to it.
The bikes approach 50k miles and I’ve promised it a re-Ferb next summer. New paint some fender mounts, more bottles bosses mid fork rake mount.

Interest bit in yesterdays news agents podcast. It turns out poor old Suella has messed up again. They haven't been able to implement any of the measures from the latest stop the boats bill because if they redesignate all the asylum seekers that arrived by small boats to be criminals instead they can no longer use the british aid budget to pay for the hotels and keep etc and the home office doesn't have the money.
Currently a third of our international aid budget is spent on this.

Don't underestimate how clever the media advisors are behind the scenes.
20 point behind in the polls for over a year would suggest not. The same advisers that brought us small boats week, NHS week etc. sunak has just surrounded himself with yes men.
When Isaac Levido comes back for the election it’ll be different, but the current lot are useless.

Labour have to win the fuckers over by being as Brexity
On one hand I agree, Make brexit work etc. But the detail of there policy's is the best we can hope for in the next parliament, alinement of standards, veterinary agreement, putting back all those workers rights we're about to loss. these are the first steps back to the EU.

This really should be the end of the Tory’s but their polling is about as low as it can go. Hunt and his weasel words on Kuenssberg yesterday, we’ll pay whatever it costs or words to that effect, followed by a statement that there is no new money and it has to come from the existing education budget.
Obviously, Kuenssberg didn’t ask where the money was coming from because you only ask that of a Labour politician.

According to Silca the squeaking is mostly from the sideplates
Yeah that does make sense, when I look at the chain it looks like it still has good coverage. My previous experience of wax based lubes has not been good, watery piss that just makes a big mess. Is that not the case now ? What recommended?

My chain waxing experiment worked, kind of. The chain was squeaky after 180 miles in majorca, it was still shifting fine, but I'm assuming that's a sign that it needs redoing.
Give how little I ride my geared bikes I think it worth moving ever thing over to it. I've invested a whole £18 in a slow cover which I hope will make the process easier, at least I wont end up with a melted plastic bag and a mix of water and wax.
Being able to pack the bike up at the end of the trip without it being covered in oily crap was wonderful.

I’ll be honest, I don’t think it would be a big issue, It depending on your mechanical abilities, mine are ok, but only ok. I haven’t messed around with a front mech for about 20 years.
From an aesthetic perspective, I would prefer a x2. You’d be able to fold the bike up without having to disconnect either of the cables for x2 with out any issue.
@Thrasher there ritchey butano bars, but the old ones with only a little flair, I really like them and have them all my drop bar bikes.
Majorca has kicked my arse, 1 mile here has to be worth 5 in the uk.

It's amazing how little space they take up mine stand on the front end behind the kitchen door, in an otherwise dead space.
