Yes, lovely thing to own but not a daily driver. Check you can still get service kits. The power cord was a problem on mine, the Bakelite or ceramic or whatever it was broke and I couldn’t replace it without spending loads.

Are those Monitor Bronze? My earlier set produce hilarious amounts of bass, they might be difficult with no space behind them. Socks in the ports might be useful.

How about just a second pair of headphones? It’s unlikely that any set will be comfortable for 10 hours, maybe just swapping between 2 pairs each meeting or every couple of hours to move the pressure spots would help?

Thanks for the suggestions, I really don’t want to go into a Zeos rabbit hole of headphones and amps, I’ll take a look at Linsoul and Moondrop for IEMs. The KZs have been a revelation, I prefer wearing them to big cans, didn’t think they could come close in terms of imaging but they’re very good.
I’ve already noticed that the Topping amp sounds a lot nicer than my Dragonfly red which gets really sibilant and harsh at higher volumes with these IEMs, maybe an upgrade to something like a DX3 would be worthwhile.

Due to health things I’ve been shielding since new year which has kept me away from the big setup at work and my wife has nicked my Grados for her Zoom meetings which leaves me with this little setup: KZ ZS10 pro IEMs and the Topping MX3 amp. It’s remarkably adequate, so obvs now I’m wondering what a higher spec head-fi setup would sound like. My wallet is bracing itself.

Yeah can only find this pic in the background of a picture of a shoe. Forums eh? The best domestic lever coffee-wise I ever used was this Gaggia Achille which used a heat exchanger but every one of them succumbed to unfixable leaks into the electrics. Shots were thick and soft like yogurt.

Most of them don’t have the steam wand so they’re unpressurised boilers which helps with temp management, also the group head is saturated in the boiler water which is also good. Chances are now though that even if you restored one it would be better as an ornament, it’s bound to be temperamental.

My little headphone mission crept a bit. I’m now very much enjoying these Shure SRH 1840s playing through a Jan Meier headphone amp fed by the Dragonfly red dac.
Going between my IEMs, Grado and Shure there’s masses of difference, the Shure are really special next to the others. Amps and dacs not such a difference, going between MX3, Dragonfly directly and the Meier really is minimal, now I know what I’m not missing I could happily live with just the MX3 and collect loads of headphones.
It took a while to adjust to headphone imaging but now it feels like having massive speakers that you can play as loud as you like while everyone else is asleep. Which is nice.
