I'm tempted by the FFWD track disc in the classifieds. Would this give me an advantage over my 88mm rim with flimsy plastic cover? My rim is 23mm wide which works well with a 25mm tyre for a feeling of stability on the road, I think the FFWD wheel is 19mm and I speculate that it might feel sketchier with the 21mm tyre it's fitted with. Would fitting a 25mm tyre ruin the aeros?
Any help much appreciated. Ta.

^great pic.
First time out in the Casco Speed Time lid tonight. Absence of wind rush and the huge visor give a pleasant sense of detachment from the whole experience. I felt like I could tuck my head lower and I didn't get that wind snatching feel when looking over my shoulder.
Speed-wise I reckon it's done me well. I was only a few seconds behind 2 of the clubs strongest testers who regularly take a minute out of me on a course including 12 roundabouts. I look forward to trying it on the F1B/25 in a couple of weeks.

55/15 last night. Got a wobble on downhill at 125rpm, but overall I felt like I was nicely on top of it, puts my cadence at about 100 which I'm finding I prefer to the 90rpm I usually calculate for. Did a 50 on the same course on Sunday with 52/15. Next Tuesday is a 10, same course again, I'll go for 55/14 and see how I get on muscling it over at a lower cadence. I don't think I can risk spinning out on the downhill on a 10.

Sorry to come to this so late, I just got Vukas with S Bends. They're great. I like S-bends as I can grip the riser bit and make my position a little shorter when the cadence goes nuts and the surface gets sketchy, then go full length when the going is good. The arm rests I find very comfortable and secure feeling.
In other news I did my second 25 last night and shot a 54.21. Nice and damp, warm, no wind.

First 50 miler today, 6.30a.m. Broke the 2 hour barrier with a 1:58.15. Absolutely chuffed to bits with that, the 25tt I did a few weeks ago was 1:00.51 so I can take a definite improvement.
Geared for 25 mph @ 95rpm, did a gel each lap, had camelback, raised armrest stack by 25mm. There was a draggy climb which allowed a bit of fidgeting and fuelling, that helped I think.

Thanks all for the advice, I'll give it a miss. Will take a look at Raltech.
