I should say that I'm not saying the bike isn't worth it. They are very expensive to buy new, obviously. They just seem to be subject to quite hefty depreciation on occasion.

The line about the rohloff is a personal thing, not a dig at seller. I'd really want hydraulics on such a costly hub.

@RichieArseCream glws. A friend and I are considering cycling up for a rummage if you're about at the weekend?

@Skülly have a look at prices on eBay. Sellers very rarely achieve asking prices (around 1500 on average for a well spec'd rohloff with quality dynamo). I've seen very good examples go for less than a G when seller allows market to dictate price.

What I find hilarious is that somebody would drop a G on a hub and have to rebuild the wheel every few thousand KM. 'but if you're touring in the Sahara and can't find a bleed kit for your hydraulics...'
