In the 18 days or so since my last post Im now fluctuating between 88.2-89.1. I weigh myself at the same time every day and the downward trend has slowed down but I think its still there. Ish.
Picked up running and do a 3 times a week body weight based effort, have managed 3 short bike rides ever so slightly stretching the 1 hour of exercise rule. This is a fairly big reduction in exercise and the intensity is noticeably lower. However with the extra time from lockdown I have spent more time cooking better food. Hopefully Ill dial in a bit better on the food front and get the exercise ticking over and manage to drop a few more Kg in time.
All of my trousers still fit.
Some now fit better as I am closer to the size I was when I bought them. -
Joe Brown died over the weekend.
Its a big loss, I met him once while too little to know. My dad and him had a few conversations over the years after my dad bumped into him on the Roaches and offered him a cup of tea. Ive dropped by his shop a fair few times as well.Bit of a hero of mine growing up reading about what he did, and then being able to go and see the routes he set with equipment he made himself. If anyone knows the roaches, he put up one of the most iconic routes in climbing, The Sloth. Or at least if I remember correctly he did. Ive never had the guts to give it a go myself, never really being that good a climber.

2 questions, unrelated to each other.
No 1. Does anyone use Olympus OM-D? The automatic setting has been taking very washed out photos, there is no depth to the colours at all. When I use any of the priority options or full manual the colours are very rich. Would anyone be willing to share their colour settings so I can see where I have gone wrong/can improve?
No 2. Has anyone used the Ricoh GXR. I really want one, purely as something to play with, it looks amazing and weird. I don't need it at all but its so enticing... However for a 2nd hand camera with scarce parts its a lot of money. Especially If it turns out I'd not get on with it. Ive also seen you can get it with an M mount box which would be cool.

Thanks for the reply, I was exaggerating for effect, but Im really not a runner.
I checked sträva and i gain 75m in my 5km run, its all in one hill. I take around 26/27 minutes to complete usually, but I think I could probably go faster. My park run time from a few years ago on a flat course was between 20-21 minutes, the other runners giving me something to compete against.
Most of the running I do usually is in a game of hockey/football, short 90/100% bursts followed by 50% speed etc. Today I tried a fartlek run around the same route and ran it quicker and was much less tired by the end. I think as i get used to the difference I will get over the uncomfortableness, I think pacing is probably going to improve.

People keep talking about easy runs, if I run any slower its power walking.
On my little 5k loop over the top of Alexandra Palace I am so dead by the top the rest of the run is just survival. I really don't like running, but the feeling when I finish is the closest thing to the normal post exercise buzz I can achieve with all the restrictions in place.

In the T&Cs of my easyjet flight I get 12 months to claim the refund, so Im going to wait a bit for the rush to calm down. Also keep an eye on the cost of calling, it charges up to 13p a minute, I worked out that because I had snagged a super cheap flight it would only take 6 hours of hold to end up costing more than the flight.

Todays task suggestion.
5 * 2min drawing of the same object.
Its something we were told to do at the start of every week in GCSE art, always the same object, and at the end of the year our teacher showed us our collected drawings in order. It was amazing at the way we got comfortable with the task over the course of the year. Familiarity and speed led to a freedom of mark making that was interesting. -

No idea, I'm posting smallish images straight to the forum.
I used to use flickr before it went psycho with space limits/ads/and changed the licensing.
