Does anyone remember watercolour challenge?
I might do a lockdown version this weekend. That can be my attempt at a painting. I have my small travel set and one brush, which is what I take on trips.Back before I got a proper job I used to amuse myself with acrylic and inks as my preferred media. I kind of wish I had some of that around as its a lot of fun.

Theres a kid who runs a similar route as me and I have come across a few times, he looks about 14/15. He ran past me today like I was standing still, then came past me again 15 minutes later again like I was standing still. Bloody quick. The second time he came past at least he was breathing hard. Makes me feel old/fat and slow. I think realistically I'm only fat (ish) and slow (ish)

I followed your advice for a bit of a rest, then on Monday I was getting grouchy from not having an exercise fix so jumped on my bike for a quick 40k in the evening...
Today I did my 5Km route over the hill again, and was a little slower than usual 27minutes dead for 5.2km. The pacing was much better however and I didn't feel as bad at the end. Obviously still panting like a dog and sweating buckets, but the rest seems to have let everything settle a bit. Ill try building in a proper days rest every couple of weeks while I get a bit more run fit.
Im going to plan out a flat 5km route that I can try to see what my pace is.

I think I have nudged some option in a sub menu somewhere, its very frustrating. I usually use the camera in aperture priority, but occasionally use the auto for some things where I don't know what I'm doing.
I suppose I am getting better at making decisions and learning a bit more this way, so its not all bad.

I sorry to hear, its a very annoying issue. I get tendonitis in my achilles, it flairs up very occasionally, but when it does its horrible. My right tendon gets hot and much much bigger than my left, can take days to cool down but stays oversize for a surprising amount of time.
Once it starts I can make it through a few extra weeks of hockey games by icing it immediately post game, raising it up and not doing anything on it for the rest of the week. but after 3 games of that and a few ibuprofen its untenable to keep going, in my experience anything less than 5/6 weeks complete rest means it flairs up again almost immediately.
After the many weeks rest I build up slowly with lots of ankle dips on a stair, then long walks, medium easy cycles before, then short runs, then 5 a side, and finally back up to proper activity. its a fair few weeks work, but it does avoid another trip to the doctors.
