^^^@Tina K, Thanks for the info. I've accepted £85 and am handing over in about an hour. Thanks for putting my mind at ease. You're right that I don't want the hassle of splitting and ebay. To be honest as a deal it feels about right given the sheer volume of bits (there's actually another lens in there I forgot to ttake a pic of) so it's essentially a body, four lenses of variable quality, as you say, a mint bag, a decent alu case and piles of nice period accessories. I just wanted to make sure thre wasn't anything unusually valuable in there and that I wasn't inadvertantly ripping anyone off. Pretty happy neither of these is true. SOLD!

I'm about to splurge on a new mac. After much deliberation i think i'm going to stick with imac (and use an ipad or sav eup for an air for mobile duties). Want to stick with Logic 9 really. Heard it's really buggy in Mavericks. Anyone else tried?
I have some music bits up for sale in Classified. A Stagg small diaphragm condenser mic, guitar pedals, melodica etc. Tempted to add a Mackie Onyx Blackjack interface/pre-amp and some Shure and Sennheiser vocal mics too...

Anyone give me a clue on this lot? (The camera stuff anyway). Been offered £85 for the lot. Is that fair? https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/262393/

Rapha Escarabajo Colombian super light summer jersey. Size L (I'm 5'11". with a 34" waist and 39" chest and it's a bit too small for me). Worn only a couple of times although I managed to get an oil stain on the front. It's not overly noticeable though and might wash out. Now £10
Endura summer Jersey. Black, size XL. Good fit for me (see above). Worn a dozen times or so. Now £5
Garneau winter gloves. Thinsulate inners, waterproof backs, vented suede palms and (unused) fleecey snot-wiping area on outside of thumb. Bought a while ago but worn only once. RESERVED PENDING COLLECTION

6.1 Digitech Bad Monkey overdrive (decent tubescreamer impression): £10.
6.2 Danelectro Cool Cat fuzz (more like a distortion to my ears) £5.
6.3 Boss OC2 Octaver. Be like Petey Dammit and make your guitar do bass things. £20
6.4 Behringer compressor/sustainer £freeStagg PGT 60 pencil condenser microphone. Fixed cardioid pattern with lo cut switch. Good for acoustic guitar etc. requires 48v phantom power. In hard case with clip and windshield: NOW £10
Canon T70 SLR and lots of accessories. SOLD
Sidi Dominators. Size 46. Well used, tatty and a bit tired although still functioning. SPD cleats (and surrounding mud) included. TAKEN
Hohner student 36 melodica. For all yr dub red-eyed reggae slapback parpings. Good working order and nice sounds (nicer than my other one) although a couple of notes are less than perfectly in tune hence: £5. RESERVED PENDING COLLECTION
1970s Akai receiver. Beautiful old stereo receiver with teak sides and silver facia and satisfyingly clunky knobs and switches. FM tuner glows blue/green. Tuner works and sounds great on both channels but aux in seems to be only coming out on one side. Sure it's a quick fix for someone in the know. This belonged to my grandfather and I'd love to keep it but can't justify the space. Give it a good home for NOW FREE TO A GOOD HOME
Wharfedale Laser 80 3-way stereo speakers. 1980s stereo speakers. Teak effect cabinets, 80w, driver, mid range and tweeter. Good working order and sound pretty decent. Again, these were my grandfather's so I'd like someone to get some pleasure from them. I'd like to get £20. (pics coming)

Hi all, I know less than nothing about cameras but have a few bits to sell. Will post pics in the classified thread (and have done a perfunctory google) but wouldn't mind a steer on a price for the following as a job lot:
1980s Canon T70 SLR with three additional lenses, various flashes, adapters, angle finders, film, cables, straps, nice canon bag and flight case with a myriad of other widgets extras and whatnots. Also have a tripod I haven't even taken out of the bag yet.
Can anyone give me a ballpark from the above lamely vague description. Just want shot of it and for it to go to someone who will get some use out of it.
Cheers,
Al.

I'm a big fan of invoking the language of my people and using "You" (singular) and "Youse" (pl.). For really big plurals you can plus size it with "Youse lot".
Logically it's a bit like the southern states "Y'all" which is of course singular. The plural being not "Y'all" or even "Y'alls" but "All Y'all".
Another that's stuck with me is from a friend from Middlesborough. Loved his "Us" (pronounced "ooz") for "our", as in "Fookinell I'm right starving, what shall we 'ave for us teas?".
It's all about the "teas". "Us tea" just makes no kinda sense.

^^^"Your good self" is even worse. I worked with a dude who used to get carried away with trying to do all that "Ahhh! Good day fine sir!" shit (the kind of "banter" that people who say "methinks" use) and kept referring to himself as "my good self". Thinking about it now his derranged malopropisms might actually have been endearingly bumbling. At the time I wanted to punch his face off though.

Nice. Am looking fwd to getting home now. I toyed with the idea of them but figured the 2020is would do for my needs. They're pretty cheap right now as well. Think I just paid £130 from Richer Sounds.
I've got a few bits I need shot of. Nothing audiophile but someone might find a use for it: Got some old early 80s Wharfedale Laser 80s (the 2-way ones) in good working order and an ailing but very funky looking Akai receiver in need of a bit of love. Have some little Diamond 9s I might get shot of as well... although they're so small I'm almost tempted to keep them and knock up a little system for the kitchen or something.
Will post pics if anyone's interested. The Lasers and Akai belonged to my grandfather so I'd like someone to get some use out of them.

Cheers man. It started off of a throwaway cover, it's not even a song I play out. It just popped into my head one day an I figured the chords out and banged out a rough version which just grew and grew over several weeks. It's become a trigger's broom job ass always with everything having been re-done multiple times. It's been bugging the shit out of me since before Christmas so I'm glad to have finally finished it.
There's an awful lot of hiss, most noticable at the start that I think may be coming from the Waves Kramer tape emulation (one instance of which is generating the vocal slap echo and there's another one doing the mastering compression in the stereo bus). Might have a quick look at cleaning that up tonight. Maybe drop the lead vocal level a smidge too.
EDIT: got a couple of tweaks to do actually. i'll leave it up though. Just replace the file with a new one when I'm happy with some minor eq/level changes.
Then I shall move on.

It's not the developments themselves that are the issue. London's so overcrowded and the travel infrastructure deperately needs the overhaul it's currently undergoing; it's the total lack of stewardship of the cultural life of the city that accompanies the developments. Rent control. Rent control. Rent control.
Found it a bit of a ballache trying to finding a s/h one from someone i trust that's new enough to be the last of the upgradables though.... where's good for s/h macs?
I figured i might as well spend a bit now and get a new one tricked out with 16GB of RAM and SSD storage and be done with it for the next 5 years. No?
