Tried to sit down during a fierce case of the zoomies and got into a frank exchange of views. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DATqt-DNlpJ/?igsh=MTRzcDV0eDd1aHZvbg==

All going really well here. She's absolutely full of mischief and fun. Toilet training is a qualified success so far and - unbelieveably - she took to being left at night no problem at all. Can't wait to get jab 2 and finally be allowed out and about. I feel like such a whopper walking into town with her in a friken baby sling thing.
Weighed her this morning and she was 1400g. that's 75% increase in bodyweight in 2 weeks. The little chubber.

Progress! I reinforced the gates with a load of plastic coated wire fencing (all sharp ends paintakingly removed - ask to see the blisters on my hands from two hours with wire cutters and pliers) and whole pack of cable ties.
Reader, she whimpered and mithered a bit, but she did get up and take herself to the pad for a pee (and a cheeky midnight poop) - and by the end of the night was going back into her crate and going back to sleep by herself. I'm wary of celebrating too soon but it does feel like quite a breakthrough.

Margo Puppy Day 9.
Set up a pair of pet gates to make a good sized enclosure around the pup's crate which lives under the stairs in a basement kitchen. Last night was my turn to be on watch and was to be the trial of the pen set-up whereby she's free to come and go from her crate and pee and poop on the pad in the utility room. I was to sleep on a camp bed at the other end of the same room (it's a kind of open plan kitchen/dining/living room space) to comfort her if she needed and to make sure she didn't get out or get stuck.
As usual she woke up every hour for the first half of the night and whimpered to get out of the new pen and be taken for a pee. First time it happened, I thought i'd leave her for a bit in case she just needed to figure out the new set-up. A few squeaks and some scuffling and noises and... a happy little dog face popped up by my pillow. Yep, she can get through the bars. Great. Spent the rest of the night being woken up every hour or so as per. *le sigh
She's also been back to the vet because she's still very itchy and has scabs and raw patches behind her ears. The bad news is that she still has fleas and may also have mange. Joy. The good news is that she's put on so much weight that she qualifies for the proper oral flea-treatment and can now have a bath.
In other news I have made a logo (ripped off Mar-a-Largo obvs) to make a a "Lair-a-Margo" sign for her den. because I'm a besotted idiot and am too tired to do proper work.

It will do. naother three week still she can go out on a lead tho. It's all good, I'm tryna get out as much as I can and the eating is starting to feel normal. It's honestly not much of a chore and I kind of enjoy the "having a project" element of it.
Hehe, mirror selfies might be pushing ita bit. I honest;y have been avoiding mirrors for years.

Anyway, I finally broke through the 15stone barrier last week after being stuck on 15/1 for three weeks. Then quickly dropped to 15/10 (95kg) by last weekend. I misbehaved a little bit over the weekend and had a couple of beers and even a proper roast dinner with potatoes on Sunday. Back on it this week. Glad to see the minor blow-out doesn’t seem to have done much harm. Loving clothes fitting better and feeling trimmer. All in all I’m pretty pleased with progress, all the more so because the last three weeks have featured a nagging cold, a busy and desk-bound period at work and new puppy with all of the sleeplessness that brings. Figure if I can keep the downward trajectory going till I’m well and able to get out and walk the dog we’ll be on the way to a sustainable way of being.

Those amps are luverly too. I've been on the sniff for an affordable Marshall after 15 glorious mins in a studio with a cranked and freshly re-valved JCM800 and 4x12 last weekend. Dunno why now after decades of "meh" at the big Marshall thing... but i'm suddenly smit and I need one. I'm not sure exactly what i'm after but I think it's an 800, 900 or maybe a plexi RI (the 1987?). Must be a 4x12 tho. I'll find the space and the band. Just want.
