been offered two mavic 3g wheels, one is mint-even decals are spot on and it has the semi circular valve hole indentation ie later model. The second wheel is damaged on the rim edge and has been repaired with epoxy resin :S . Not sure if that can be professionally put right or not- it isnt buckled but im not sure i would risk riding on it so essentially the deal is getting one good wheel, 2 hubs, front/rear threaded for freewheel and a wall hanger. £200 fair?

Indeed and thats what they did with the next 2 models, its deffo designed that way-picture of it in koga catalogue as mentioned before. Its the fattest downtube ive ever seen..its almost as wide as it is deep and not a teardrop shape! Maybe they just came across some alloy shaped that way and thought lets use this? or its to provide strength given that the seat tube is very small in cross section in the cutout for the rear wheel. Crazy Dutchies.

Im not sure where youre based, i'm in essex so its probably not easy to help if youre in London. I always keep a load of tools for dealing with these kinds of issues- one such tool would be a dvd bootable copy of a linux distro or a disc called hirens which has 'mini xp'- then one could load up the computer with another os to quickly check if the mouse functioned ok outside of windows. The other bonus with a linux distro is you can access the file structure with none of the problematic windows malware slowing things down. Its normal for a laptop fan to spin at 100% for a few seconds at boot before it reduces. If it stays on full its likely the heatsink is clogged or theres a thermal compound or sensor issue. Sometimes the Bios has a setting to run fan at 100% when on AC power ie plugged in. Then re the trackpad - the only other thing that springs to mind thatcan disable the trackpad is the relevant FN key combination but that tends to turn the whole thing on or off.

various ways to sort that computer, one could create a new partition, move the files to it and reinstall windows on the main partition. Some Dells have a hidden partition containing the OS restore although some users delete it to free up HDD space. The options listed above-removing a drive to transfer files are also good. In terms of clearing out viruses/malware some online scanners are good like housecall or eset. Malware bytes is good and the fact you can run it means you probably dont have anything serious trying to hijack the OS-those types of infections tend to wreak havoc with permissions. Instances of software that keep appearing after being removed are hard to track down- usually reside in places like hidden folders in Appdata or in randomly named folders on the root or in temp folders. Sometimes you have to use software to force delete them too. Sometimes you can track down a reoccuring install by searching all files ie . and listing by created most recently. Worth checking whats set to run at startup > type config in the windows search function and open system configuration - there you can tick or untick services/programs running as your OS boots up. Theres a handy tool called combofix which is pretty good at repairing the damage done by warez but its only something for techy types that know the risks and have a plan B. Oh and the trackpad may be a hardware fault - ive encountered many dell inspiron with that fault - sometimes its caused by the battery/psu believe it or not.

This is an oddball bike, i believe its the forerunner to the nemo colorway scandium frames by a couple of models. I bought it from a chap thats previously posted it on here and ive seen a thread on it on Retrobike too. Story goes that its an ex dutch/knwu youth training bike but im not totally sure thats the case. Ive only seen pictures of 2 others on google and searching old koga catalogues shows a similar road model from around 96-97.
I built it up as a fixed gear TT bike just in time for my last club 10 event last year and did my PB on it. Paint was ratty as fuck, fork is starting to give way so its been replaced with one i bought off @Scilly.Suffolk. - problem then was that the paint looked odd with chrome rear stays and a matt black fork so >>
Todays effort - decided to repaint with blue/yellow pearl fade, did a really shit job, rushed, what prep? and up close it shows- runs etc

Hi Andy, the koga i bought was a track bike, Koga Full Pro made of alloy, the bike is a bit oddball, paints a bit old and naff but its nice and stiff and built up quite well as a fixed gear TT bike. My main issue was that the forks are alloy blades bonded to the fork crown and have become loose so ive had to swap the fork out. Plan is to repaint frame and run a carbon fork as it would be impossible to find another original.

I have sourced a pair for the road thanks to another member but still interested in a pair for track. Steerer around 19Cm is cool, 17.5 would be slammed and bare min- i would have to double check. The only pro-lite forks i could find with google were 1 1/8. Any pics? idea of price-im outside of London too so id probably need post.

as per title, threaded or threadless. The forks on my Koga Full Pro track bike have started to separate where the fork crown meets the blades. Toyed with the idea of pulling them apart and re-bonding but i guess thats a no no. Looking for something like tusk air, kinesis, profile design, alpina wing tt if they did 1" etc
Ta

excuse slightly saddle position, i had adjusted it before going on track but it slipped a little under my 86kg

Hi nice looking wheels, i guess the lack of interest is down to a couple of things.. its not the first time the forum has seen a cosmic/ellipse hybrid so not that crazy, and secondly cosmics seem to be hard to shift for anything like their original price second hand so i guess youre at a price point where theres lots of other decent wheelset options for people to buy. glws
