Noticed an issue with my bike the other day. Front mech stopped shifting up, I took a closer look and found the mech had rotated a little. I undid the bolt, repositioned it and as I was tightening it back up, the bolt went from tight to loose. I discovered the radius washer was rotating with the bolt as I tightened it resulting in this mess. The braze on is slightly crushed and the washer won't sit straight. In this pic its torqued up to 7nm (Shimano say it should be 6 - 8nm) so it certainly not overtightened. Can I repair this or straighten it out?

For road 1x I think I should be looking to go 50 - 11/39. Looks like the OPI only goes up to 45t

The bikes currently got gossamers. I've got some hollowgrams spare.

The suggestion of 1x has got me thinking. Anyone tried it?

Its not been serviced. Its not even been ridden that much. I was using a pair of pliers to hold the washer thing straight and stop it turning while I tightened the bolt. Slipped and damaged the head a little. None of this helps my case!

Guess i'll just ride it and not spend any money on it. Anyone need a set of unused hollowgram cranks?

Ive not touched it before so I've no idea how it happened. FD moved when I was trying to shift and when I checked to see what was up I found that. Never noticed it before. Spoke to cannondale to check warranty but if its not covered can it be replaced? Doesn't look like an easy job though

It's crushed under the bolt. That washer doesn't stay put when you tighten the bolt it just turns and deforms the braze on even more. Worth worrying about?

Braze on on my caad10 isn't looking too pretty. could that be a manufacturers defect? It's the 105 mech that came with the bike

Just spotted a set of alloy TRP Eurox for £40. I was going to but Tektro CR720s for half that but is it worth spending another 20 quid?

Finally getting around to replacing the stock FSA cranks with some hollowgrams on my Caad 10. I've got the Si hollowgrams with the FSA rings that were fitted to the ultrega caads in 2015. My bike is the 105, also from 2015 which I think was the final run of the caad 10s.

I need to buy an axle, do I need the 104mm or 109mm? I'm planning to use the bb that came on the bike, will that be ok and do I need extra washers or anything?

Finally old chainset is semi compact, new one is standard. Will I just need to re index the front? Do I need a longer chain. Currently my bike is completely stock.

Wheels are very nice though. ID on the rims? And how long till that anodising wears off with braking?
