Black Forest, North Vosges, Luxemburg and Ardennes are nice, as hilly as you want to make them and quite varied. Even a bit of offroad gravel path here and there might be nice.

Set up tubless, with inserts, and ride at 10psi till the sides are worn as well

Axle is fine as said already, but from the second picture it looks like it's the cable outer that rubbed rather than the ziptie. Maybe it needs to be more slack/have something inserted from inside the BB shell into the chainstay to keep it low?

Has anyone got a Pirelli Cinturato Gravel H 700x50 I could borrow for a test fit?
