Fair enough, a bike you use and like always beats one you don't.

Project "Surface Rust". The photos flatter it, there really isn't even a square inch of decent paint on it, but it's straight and dent free so just need to figure out a paint scheme and get cracking. Got plenty of drivetrain and finishing kit and some nice 29" hoops so just need a fork and probably a 2 degree slackset for the build.

My vote is not to ruin it. It's survived this long all original. It's cool as it stands and saving a bit of weight whilst turning it into something anti seems like a waste to me.

Yeh, they're pretty rare especially now. The bars are odd, more like tack drops than road and if I rotate them much further the drops won't be much use. Might swap them out if I see something I like.

Picked this up and really liking it, although it is a touch small. The 600 STIs are surprisingly nice to use and the suspension does a decent job of smoothing out rough roads. Needs some bigger tyres though, I reckon some 28s would fit ok, perhaps Panaracer Gravelkings as I think the brown sidewall look would work, but open to ideas. Got a Flite on the way and it should be good to go.

I just bought one last week. It's a pretty good ride.

It's a nice colour, but it's a lot fattier than the pics show, quite hard to keep the rust from taking hold.

Why is it aimed at cyclists at all? It's insane. The two issues are people opening their doors into traffic and the attitudes of many drivers towards cyclists in a position away from the gutters. And yet this advise suggests cyclists are playing some stupid fucking game.

And Campag cranks use an odd BCD with less choice and higher prices.

Even used the 4arm stuff is proper pricey too. Shame as I rather like the look unlike most.
