I'm not a mechanic. Last night before work, I couldn't get to the bottom of a problem with my rear brake, so I took it off and switched my freewheel cog for a fixed one having never ridden that way before.
I rode my bike for a few hours around Hackney to trial it out. All was fine. Today I rode from 8am for my everyday job as a cycle courier without issues, but at 3pm-ish on Oxford Street, the frame snapped down by the bottom bracket. Sh*t!
I loved this frame. Made by Rory O'brien, I had multiple people approach me on the street with tales of their memories of the brand and shop in east London, many moons ago... That said, it was indeed far too big for me (58cm) and I was inkling towards buying something else soon enough.
I'm set to go back to work on the 5th and would like to fix up my bike with a new frame by then, hopefully using as many of the parts from the last bike and not spending too much money. I would like to ride fixed wheel as opposed to freewheel. I would not like my frame to crack again!!!
As stated, my knowledge of putting a bike together is seriously limited, so I've included a picture of what I own.... I would be more than happy to pay somebody to help set it all together again once the new frame is bought...
Anyone got anything for me??? 54cm ish???

Ouch!!

We're fortunate to live in a city where we can visit any place we like and the 'no-go zones' are pretty much non existent. London has improved drastically with regards to street mugging, gang crime etc. over the last decade+, but without doubt there are still little pockets of the city here and there which offer a notably higher level of risk. I'm sure that some of you riding visibly expen$ive bikes will have a few streets you might avoid at midnight heading homeward... No?
I thought it could be really interesting to get a discussion going on this forum about these places given that many of you will know your streets really well.
Where do you avoid? Where have you been robbed, chased or shouted at?

Hey y0. I've a few things for sale. Excuse me for the awful pictures.
Collection from N8 or possible meetups.
I bought this Chrome Citizen messenger bag a few days ago via this forum. A much as I love it, I've had second thoughts and it's not quite big enough for my needs. It's been used but is in good nick and will last a good lifetime. I'd like £50 in return for this, the same as what I paid for it.

Next up, I've got this random frame + forks which was given to me. No idea what it is and I've not measured it yet, but it's big, must be 60+cm. Perhaps someone might be able to help me with some info and a price/offer? Can send over more photos if need be.

3ttt superlegerro drop bars stem. Not in squeaky clean on the underside but still look great. £15?

Random drop bars. £5?

Campag mirage 36x24f bb (little rusty) and campag chrous 36x24t (nearly fresh). Again, sorry for the useless picture!!! £15 each (or something?!)

Raleigh seat and post (25.8) and random black seatpost (27.0). £beer/loose coinage

North Face Hyvent jacket. Size L. Really good nick. £30?

Ralph Lauren polo shirt. Nice material. The horse is lighter in colour than the photo suggests. Small paint mark (just visible in photo). £15?

Forgot to take a picture of the Provari ecig but it's one of these with the extended battery/bottom. Good nick, £50?http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-TiSqgS_gJro/U0Wwk3R-lUI/AAAAAAAAUwk/b7u-uPFUuyg/s1600/Captuccccre.JPG
Cheers for looking!

For sale or for trade, I've got two cheap 26" mtb wheels alongside two fairly new Schwalbe tyres and working inner tubes. The rear wheel is a Weinmann TM19 and has seen little use. The front is a Mach1 Etrto, in this case being a bit more used and second hand. The tyres are in good shape.
£25 for the lot collected from N8.

I've also got this skateboard for sale. I've no idea what the wheels/bearings are but it all runs cool.
£15.

Thanks Mike.
The little plaque on the front reads 'Photographic Apparatus Chemical Co Limited 15 Barbican, E.C.'
It's not guaranteed that they were actually the people that made the camera, they may simply have been the retailers, though the company did also manufacture and their adverts show a similar line of camera. They went bankrupt in 1890.

Hi - I'm 5'11 in height. Do you have any pictures and a price tag for what ya got?
