tbh, that looks like it's going to implode on the second trip out.
and zero style points, that too.
will be using it as a bad weather bike / commuter / haul loads of shit bike toofound some useful info in the (dynamo)light thread I'm looking into.
might get a cheap build together with just enough new parts to make it fully functional.and I do want to melt the face off the fucker who blinds me every day on my commute.

I had a GRD IV for the bigger part of a year before I sold it due to not much use next to my 6D and film cameras.
Got it thinking I would use it for street stuff, cycling pics and general walk around camera as it nice and compact.Used it lots in the beginning when I got it, but carrying too much stuff around was tedious. As I also have my iPhone with me at all times, mostly turn to that for on the go shooting. Lack of viewfinder also got to me.
Great machine nonetheless, love the 28mm focal length (use a 28mm f1.8 on my 6D all the time) and the phase detection pre-AF thing was cool. Can't really compare the GRD IV with the new GR tho.
And can't really remember what my point was exactly.

Latest news is that he (Nico) who bought the bike from Femke last season, took it for a ride on the course just before the race. He then put his motorized bike against the team van, where the mechanics mistaken it for one of Femke's bikes.

I had a tin of Peek polish left over from my Alan that you can see in the back there. (and to keep the NOS Vitus clean)
Just used that with some disposable microfiber cloths I had. Removed all decal ghosting but not the cable rubbing spots and some other scratches. Result is ok, not mirror polished but somewhere in between brushed and slightly polished. Bit prone to fingerprints, so need to see how it lasts in real life during rides etc
Have some green scotchbrite pads I plan to use just in case it's too much of a pita to keep clean.

too warm for longsleeve merino base + softshell
too cold for longsleeve base + longsleeve classic jersey + gilet
let's just get this global warming thing going
just 1 kit year round
