Irony being that Stanforth was set up by the son of Saracen Cycles owner. Inspired by Saracen bikes.
http://www.stanforthbikes.co.uk/#!inspiration/ckiyYes antiquated, basically an expensive version of 1985 mtn bike.
On the other hand, I don't have any summit photos from Kilimanjaro to show from my life, so I'll keep quiet.

Ha, very true. Met the Stanforth Guy at Bespoked, talked a good talk, went on about how they're going round the world.
I finished the conversation by saying that didn't think I'd ever want a 26" tourer (plenty of benefits, but I'd look like a giant on a kids bike) and he just couldn't get his head round it, did have a good chat about Paul Cantis though.

These have been bookmarked for ages, might just do it.

Internal rim width would be my guess,
Described as 'nominal rim width' here http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/fulcrum-racing-7-road-wheelset/rp-prod112075
As johnnyhotdog said, if your tyres are from a road bike they'll fit. If you've got doubts, ask your LBS.

Numbers on the wheels are just a combination of different measurement systems , for specifics read Sheldon http://www.sheldonbrown.com/tire-sizing.html
Long story short The 622/28" tells you they're 700c (standard) road bike wheels - 622 is ISO measurement, 28" is in inches, 700c is the French size. 23c Is actually 23mm which is the diameter of your tyre. So a 25'c' tyre is 25mm etc.
23s will fit fine with 105 calipers.

Currently getting on pretty well with an Arkose 2 as commuter and all round off road riding. Hydro disks are a big step up from cantis on a Kinesis CX. Still running stock 40mm Nanos but considering going narrower...or using some parts to build up a tourer to use as commuter and keeping the arkose as an off road machine.
Anyone with experience of the Spa Cycles steel tourer frameset or full bike?

With a slightly heavy heart its time to let my first 'proper' frame go.
XL (58.5) Giant Defy 4 (2011) frameset including headset and seatpost. Aluminium frame and fork.
Full geo and other info here: http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-gb/bikes/model/defy.4.compact/7842/45449/#geometry
I won't bore you with nostalgic details but wanted give you an indication of its versatility and its condition.
It has been ridden in all conditions, I commuted on it for two years over the hills of Cornwall and for some time in Cardiff too. It has done London to Paris, bike-packed in fields, done loaded touring around West Wales, wiped out under me multiple times, been loaded onto and into more cars than I can remember, carried me to my first (and all subsequent) centuries, had a whole heap of different component set-ups, completed a Festive 500 in possibly the wettest winter ever, the list goes on.
Hopefully the above and the pictures show how well used it has been, its certainly not in pristine condition but it is totally structurally sound! I'd suggest it could be the basis for the ideal first road bike (as it was for me) or for a winter/training bike.
I'm hoping for £120 (shipped anywhere in the UK). Any questions get in touch.
I'd also consider a trade for a decent road wheel-set if that tempts anyone?

Pretty nice single-speed/fixed cross check with plenty of trimmings...Brooks, racks etc http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Surly-Crosscheck-58-2011-Robin-Blue-Fixed-Brooks-Rack-Great-Condition-/161383942091?pt=UK_Bikes_GL&hash=item25933b87cb

He'll be good to do a mock set up with forks and wheel to give people an idea of the geometry.
I saw this on eBay, didn't you pay, £599?
Both spot on...unfortunately I don't have a fork around to use for the purpose.
Yep £599...anyone is welcome to make my day and get me my money back (I'll split the bonus money with the forum) but all round I'm just looking to get the frame on to someone who can build it and not have it sitting round as an expensive ornament when rent day comes!

After being super excited to build this into a dream road machine of minimalist styling I was fitted on it to find out that its just a shade too small and as I wanted it to fit like a glove I've decided to let it go.
The model is 'Sportive Ti'but from looking online they never actually sold this particular model, with the PXtitanium frames all being form Lynksey as far as I can tell.
As the pictures show it is a raw titanium finish with 'Hand crafted in America' and 'Hand built by Saratoga Frameworks' decals.
Images also show 'PLX Demo 03' stamp under BB shell.
Geo:
C-C tt: 56cm
C-T st: 57.5cm
Head tube: 16cm (1 1/8)I've never built the frame up, but presume it has been built as a Planet X sample frame. The condition is as new with only slight wear to the one Decal as shown in pictures.
I'm looking for £550 for the frame, posted in the UK (I'm based in Cardiff).
I've got a new black Hope headset arriving soon which was intended for the build so can include that if anyone want to make an offer for it?
