A bit of a long shot, but I've managed to tear a tiny hole in the seal for the hydraulic reservoir on the left hand shifter.
I've tried SJS but they've told me its not a part that Shimano sell, so they don't stock it. Looking like I'm going to need a donor part from a broken shifter maybe? Trying to avoid buying a whole new working shifter, but might end up having to!
The potential shifters that could be donors (as far as I can tell) are:
ST-RS505
ST-R6505
BR-RS405Basically all the 'bulbous ones' image attached.
Also added pics of the part I need - Happy to just buy a whole shifter unit from someone, or if anyone happens to have the part they don't need can just take that!

Finally accepted that these just aren't what I need on the bike, they're great brakes and have given a few years faithful service. You can see the marks etc from leaning against walls, shown in photos.
The rear is actually a warranty replacement from more recently, so has a super long hose still. Brakes have been taken off a bike that was used until yesterday so in good working order and ready to go, assuming hoses are ok length.
Will throw in spare pads I've got for them.
Not really sure how to price these...but £70 posted within the UK?

I'm similar, in that i know nothing of forks etc. The stock one seems like it would be fine, but I got a cheap 130mm pike which is plenty. Have also ridden it with rigid forks and it's still plenty different to gravel bike with its geo etc.
I'm around same height, and the large is good for me. I don't really know if it being a 29er is a factor in that though!

Indeed! I don't really know why they'd choose to spec their own brand one (which is presumably made by one of the big names anyway) but there we go!
Long story short, I was going to get the Kona Honzo But ended up getting a cargo bike instead on the C2w scheme I was going to use for the Kona.
I have just built up a Boardman MHT 8.9 frame with the pike I mentioned though to scratch the MTB itch (bike building itch more accurately!)

I looked at the fathom and decided against it purely on the fork, saw a few threads on forums of people having issues (will see if I can find).
Edit: found one which covers some stuff about fork clicking and a weird issue with chainline causing issues...https://m.pinkbike.com/forum/listcomments/?threadid=224116&pagenum=2
Might be stating the obvious, but if swapping the fork, go with something that has a lockout option for climbing on gravel (e.g. I got a Rockshox pike recently that's great for trails but wouldn't want to ride gravel on it because of no lockout).

I'd guess Dirtbags might do it: https://dirtbagsclimbing.co.uk/custom-work/

Ha, I've still got use out of it. I've moved from a Weeride on a flat bar Arkose so it's quite a different bike. Things that have bugged me so far have been:
- the gearing is too high for lugging two kids or full load ofshopping.
- Had to order the Yepp maxi adapters direct from the USA because nobody else has them in stock.
- Once two child seats are on the pockets on the side aren't really accessible.
- The handles on the xtracyle platform get covered up by the child seats, and you really need something to use to manoeuvre it around when folded because it doesn't wheel along very well.
- This, plus overall weight means my wife cba with getting it out (fair) so doesn't use it which was part of the intention of getting it (fully adjustable handlebars etc for different heights).
Tbh one of the main frustrations is dragging it out the shed and through the house, once that's done it does its job. I know this is mainly down to my circumstances and if I had secure storage out the front it'd be different (but then I'd probably just have got a normal cargo bike right!?)
Drop me a message if you want to check it out, I can measure it up too if that helps?
