Saw the aftermath of two separate accidents this morning.
Motorcyclist and a Sainsbury's Lorry in West Dulwich and then Audi head on into parked scaffolder's lorry in Balham. Hope all involved are ok!Lots of aggressive close passing too.
Horrible start to the week.(In both cases there were already plenty of passers-by helping out so saw no need to stop myself)

At the bottom the chain doesn't immediately slip over the tooth, only when the tension forces it on.
I just had a look at it and this appears to be what's happening. Any idea how to remedy it?
Is it a case of sucking it up and hoping it beds in, or will another type of cog be better?I feel like the chain is lubricated enough, but would putting a layer of lubricant on the cog help lessen the snap and therefore the noise?

Right, this is driving me nuts and I'm hoping someone can help.
Last week I replaced my entire drive train.
- New Omniums & GXP BB w/SRAM 48t chainring
- New Token 17t cog
- New Izumi chain
All fitted correctly (cranks/bb were professionally fitted), greased, tightened, lubed etc etc.
Chainline looks correct. I've tried varying chain tension, it's not binding, only very slight play when trackstanding. The cog is incredibly noisy whenever I pedal hard. It's a continuous clicking, no louder on any part of the pedal revolution than any other.
It's silent when resisting or simply matching the revolution of the cranks (i.e. not putting any additional force on the pedals, just kinda "coast-pedalling" if that makes sense).Does it need to "settle in"?
Is the cog just a heap of steaming overpriced shit? (I UTFS'd and found some chatter about them not being great for the money).
Should I throw more money at the problem and get an EAI cog? It's really loud. I'm getting looks from peds as I ride by.
Please help...

Ride in this morning was wonderful. Reasonable pace, sunshine, only limited wind.
No real car or ped silliness. No other-cyclist silliness.Severely let down by the horrendous noise coming from my cog whenever I put any power down. Replaced my entire drive train last week and technically, everything should be running perfectly, but can't get rid of this damn noise.
5/10 - More investigation needed

Really fun spin to work today.
Recently moved down from 50x16 to 48x17. Hills are easier, flats are fun to spin hard on, much skid silliness on the back streets. All good until oblivious ped decided to cross on red in Wimbledon because there was no 'traffic' (i.e. no cars, just me). A rather loud "look out" later, and all was well.

These arrived yesterday. Got them fitted and they feel great!!
I think there's something odd going on with my chainline as the rear cog is a little noisy now.The included BB feels great. Nice and smooth.
I've never really looked after my BB before and the mechanic who fitted these said my old BB was in a pretty rotten state.
What should I be doing to keep the new one nice? How long is it likely to last me? -
Switched ratios from 50x16 to 50x17 because I'm sick of mashing hills.
Felt slower and spinny, turned out to be my fastest commute ever #Spin2Win -
Just pulled the trigger on an Omnium crankset.
If anyone's interested, they're really cheap here at the moment:

Creepy. The tight crop makes it feel really claustrophobic too!
