I GOT A GIRLFRIEND (woohoo!)
Whilst perusing this site my new squeeze spotted this build

and said she liked it. Which got me thinking maybe my girlfriend could also ride a bike.
My girlfriend hasn't ridden a bike in ages, so the idea of a brakeless fixie is not on the table yet - so my plan is a fairly sensible porteur build with hub gear and front basket etc.
I'm thinking Sturmey Archer 5 Speed Rear Hub with Bar Mount Thumb Shift
Velo Orange Bellville Bars, and Bar End Brake Levers
Wald Front BasketSo I set about buying a sensible frame and came up with this:

It's a refurb job by Argos, it's got Dawes rear drop outs, and the BB is stamped with DA8794, I'm fairly sure it's a Dawes Imperial - though this is a guess from matching pictures.
While the fadeeezzzz are cool I'm not mad keen on either colour so I'm thinking of getting it re painted (I know this is perhaps an unpopular opinion, however since it's not an original paintjob I don't feel too bad)
I shall update as and when a paint scheme has been decided.Extra:
In a moment of madness today I grabbed this for £60:
My plan is single speed conversion, ditch the gear and what-not and chuck on a freewheel. Even though my girlfriend hasn't quite got her head around the concept of a beater she now has one!
Work will commence on this ASAP...
(P.S. I got a girlfriend!!)

I've been using this as my daily for 4 months now, but because I'm really indecisive and like change I've got something new!
The thread that I bought it from is here
Its an Orlowski Pursuit Frame 60x58 ctc
Build by Jacek in Dadaccai tubing
Original Drilled 650 fork
All BSC threadIt comes with Shimano 105 anthracite headset, Miche Primato first gen seat post and campagnolo centaur Italian BB. I fitted the BB new and I've only used it for 3 months
When I bought the frame it came with no paint so I rattle canned it. Now it looks like this:

The rattle can job is fairly chipped and ratty, but that was right for me
I payed £230 shipped w/o the BB and rattle-can-job so I think £200 is a reasonable price
Collection from E&C or I can post if you're really nice to me -

For sale I have some small frame decals
I have 5 Campagnolo Decals featuring a yellow star/flower
They're from a company called bsb Impressal
The price for each of these is £4 posted
There is 5 available
4 are still sealed both sides as pictured, the open one is £2 posted.

I also have 4 1970 Reynolds 531 Decals
Also £4 posted (20% cheaper than Hillary Stone!)
There is four available
This is the exact decal, this is just a photo I've pulled off Google since I don't want to open these up

Finally I have one "Made in Italy" Decal
£3 posted
I've tried sticking one of these to my steel bike frame and it worked well. So I'm under the impression that these are dry fit decals that can either go under the top coat of clear lacquer or even on top of the top coat.
If anyone has any extra information regarding these decals or if I'm wildly out on prices please feel free to tell me
Lots of love
