Both E&C and St. G's Circus are turds. Honestly, there's so much potential for decent sensible SAFE junctions and instead TFL seemed to be determined to make them stupid and completely over complicated.
The cycle lanes at E&C feel like they've been rolled by drunk people. They're so bumpy. And don't get me started on that ASL.
It NEEDS to be the size of all three lanes with an advance sequence to let bikes go first and a set of snipers to pick off mopeds that sit in the ASL box when it's not for them. Maybe some tyre spikes for the vape lord delivery drivers who always seem to have half their sodding vehicle in the ASL too. -
@Ramsaye - good I dislike golfers
@Kat_Balou - Slightly more helpful, thank you :)
I pulled the trigger on the Ikea Vaxer stuff for my windowless kitchen. Probably should have got the smaller size as it only just fits on my fridge, but yeah, I like it. Also I bought a Ficus Benjamina which I've chopped into three bits (one third in pic) and hopefully will do a Bonsai with once it's had a chance to settle

I'd see how the paving is laid first - if it's laid on sand/ash then it might come up with no more than a bit of jimmying, it could be anything from a couple of inches of sand/ash to remove to several inches of hardcore underneath. I'd probably start with lifting one slab and seeing what it looks like.
My parents took up slabs and had roughly 8cm of ash/sand mix under their garden. But when my dad put the new patio in he laid it on 10cm of hardcore -

Does anyone have any experience with the new Vaxer hydroponics setup from Ikea? Considering getting the house + light only and using it with pots and compost (rather than water) over winter.

Pros and cons of doing it like this? Around £40 for the light + small house -

I'm thinking about going for a pair of dynamo lights on an old 26" MTB - I'm looking for a fairly budget solution, just how terrible are the Shimano DH-3N31 hubs? From what I can tell they are fairly notchy... Is there another budget option to consider when going for hub dynamos? Is there a particular hub that's well known for price against performance?
This bike won't be really heavily used - mainly used on shitty days.I'm a complete novice to this so any advice would be appreciated!

Why is there always horse shit on King's Cross Road? Specifically the bit by Swinton Street. I'm assuming someone is walking their horse along there. Who, and why?
