Glad to hear that you're ok and on your bike again!
Indeed the group was a bit strange, I think a couple of riders got told off a bit at the end for riding dangerously. I also agree with the pace, very erratic at times, so I ended up riding with the ladies group for a bit ;)
Good to hear that the other guy is ok too, his face did look pretty bad.

I was 2 riders behind them, wind wasn't really strong imo so I guess it was wheels overlapping. Because it was raining earlier that day not as many people turned up so I would say the session was a bit faster and people didn't need to look out for so many other riders so that might have been a factor.
Coaches then reminded us that this was training so no need to ride excessively close to each other.
First time I "experienced" a crash on the track, very sobering and definitely reminds you to keep concentrated at all times. -

Don't get me wrong I don't want to advise people to not use grease. Apart from that particular set of cranks I have always used grease, and I know there are a lot of people online and even in bike shops saying that you shouldn't use grease when installing square taper cranks, which results, as you rightly mentioned, in the crank not being pushed far enough up the taper.
However I was under the impression (and this is only from observation) that the Loctite would provide enough initial lubrication for installing the cranks correctly before it becomes solid. Anyways I shall use grease from now on and thanks for the explanation -

Thanks, I'll see how I get on with the 3Ts and let you know.
yeah at those prices I would feel guilty wearing through one haha. Fibre Lyte seem to be a good value option. Since your cranks are already aero you could probably just buy one of their standard aero ones, which I imagine will be cheaper than the custom "total aero" ones.

Yours and @Scilly.Suffolk 's Sonic Lo Pro projects got me thinking about setting my Roberts up for its intended use and giving TTing a go.
Probably going to go for Nitto RB021 as a base bar, and @osiem.co 's Romet cockpit looked pretty nice with the Nitto Aero bars so I was considering buying yours. However for the reasons above I decided to go for a cheap set of Bio Arms too for now. If I don't get on with them and your Nittos don't sell I might hit you up...
Either way this project is ace, can't wait for more updates. Hope you find that CHCD ring soon
So nice GLWTS!
