There's a couple that ride fixed. If you can ride up one hill you'll be able to ride up all. I weave quite a lot up some hills. We regroup/recover at the top of each hill so keeping up shouldn't be a issue.

Feels like dairy is such a massive cultural thing for the dutch. I saw this Oatly ad everywhere but this was certainly the biggest, dominating one of the two main bridges in Rotterdam.

I've just come back from cycling around the Netherlands which is unbelievably good. 750km in 5 days which often felt like an audax, riding to the next place to buy food. The vegan food I ate everywhere was excellent. Opening hours of vegan specific places, I guess like any shops, were limited, but the vegan options at other places were all great. The kind of food that doesn't feel like an afterthought to a menu. I ate quite a few falafel wraps at late night places, again all unique and exceptionally good. Eventually worked out that takeaway cakes travel well!

I'm not going to be able to come on a ride for a few weeks, folks are visiting, then I'm doing a short trip to Holland.

Brilliant ride, route, riding, weather, everything. Did feel like I was on the edge a few times but the company and/or surroundings always quickly put an end to any flagging. The final Spoons was the cherry on the top. Thanks all for the planning and company.

I feel like I've made quite a miraculous recovery, so with the comfort that there are plenty of bail points am going to give it a bash. I'm going to critical mass first, so am aiming for the last train at 23h51 getting in at 00h11. Will try for the earlier one, but will see how the evening goes.

I'm currently at the low point of a shitty cold, and 3 days seems like a very short recovery period. It's in my chest, so will have t be sensible, and make a decision closer to the time. Much disappointment
