The only one obvious advantage of the atacs over the spd is the float. I use atacs because wonky knees but the spd were far more durable and reliable. I have a cheap pair that lasted me 10 years and still spin beautifully

Just get an 90's mtb with semi-decent components, and swap whatever you don't like. At least you'll see if it's your thing. Try gumtree if you feel like digging bargains, or retrobike for something nice

I want to change the bars of my GT Grade. Bars are GT branded but the shape is pretty much like cowbells. 42cm wide at hoods, a bit too wide for me

I'm in need of some bike parts, and before i get all new i guess its worth asking here. Based in Manchester.

First i need to change the cockpit of my Grade, too short and wide for mi liking. I'd like some bars in 40cm, was looking at something like ergosum or zipp SC sl-80. Stem should be 120 or 130mm long, 6 degree rise. Something black, light and decent please.

Second i need a lot of stuff for the mandatory GF bike build. All black too. Here's the list.
-Mtb risers with some sweepback
-Stem (short), treadless, 1 1/8
-headset, external, 1 1/8
-Seatpost, for 31.8 tube, black
-Ladies saddle, something not too sporty but decent
-Some resin pedals
