@alialias @jonny @mishmash11 thanks, hopefully I don't ruin the build, might be taking a chance with my wheel/cranks. I'll put more pics up tonight.

Cheers everyone!
@nutsjesmoar good question, but a couple of problems. Seatpost/Stem diameter on the Bianchi are different, the cranks on the Bianchi (Sugino RD2's) are 170's and I want to swap back to a pair of 165 cranks which I already have so I'll use them and lastly the wheels are going to go on my "winter bike V2".
On the plus side I nearly have everything I need for this to be built up soon, well all the big parts anyway. The new wheels for the Duratec were ordered last week are currently being built up by the Cycle PS lads.
The only things from the Bianchi I'm swapping over will be the saddle and pedals.
I've been preping and dragging me heels on this build for months so really I nearly have everything, it's just now that the Bianchi is going to break I've been forced to get a move on.
More components to be shown tomorrow...

We can still go for rides right?
They are ridiculously rare on the second hand market, probably because they cost 900 euros new :O
My T7 is four generations old now and the new T11 looks completely different. This was an ebay buy as frame/forks+all components minus wheels, I made the seller a cheeky offer for the frame only and here we are. Made a thread for it - http://www.lfgss.com/conversations/265328/#comment12190211

This will be the first of three bikes I'll be building up this year, this one has to be built quite urgently as it's main role besides casually smashing around town is to be my new dry weather commuter.
The urgency is down to the fact that my current commuter (Bianchi Pista) has a through and through crack in the seat tube between the right seat stay and top tube. It's anyone's guess if or when it will cause a stay to snap and probably my death but hopefully I don't have to find out, so the sooner the better.
Anyway, there's not many of these around so I thought I'd make a build thread for it.

Bruv, you're killin me. Take a look at the potential of the T7...

Yeah I saw that, I've given the plans a good read now, it's better if approaching from Camberwell but I approach from New Kent Rd every morning and head onto St Georges Rd.
I just have to get used to the idea that it's not going to take 4 seconds to cross the roundabout any more, because I suppose it wont be a roundabout.
Also as mentioned about three times in the report, these changes will increase travel times. Its quite obvious to see why.
My route looks like it will be on the carriage way from NKR to StGR as per normal traffic. At the end of StGR I have to turn left towards Westminster Bridge.
As long as I don't get forced into the cycle lane on StGR and have to cut left across 3 lanes of traffic up the road it will be fine.

This would always be my go-to for Nitto. http://www.kinokostore.com/brands/nitto.html

It looks great, thanks Rik, you covered everything I'd want to know, most importantly that you ride it every day.
The next bike I build we be replacing my dry weather commuter, choice has been between a Dolan TC or the Duratec T7 but I think you've won me over. I'll keep you posted on the build on here, I'll put pics up tonight.
The famous Bob as well, the close up shot of the head tube gets me every time.

"brokes" typoLOL.
I'm not really sure mate, she just paused and glared at the bike. There was like a good 5-10 second awkward silence as she was just fixated, so I just bid my farewell and made haste.
@edscoble I'll give that one a whirl next time.

A colleague asked me where my helmet was after work on Friday, I said "wearing a helmet is a seasonal thing, and it's now off season" (that is actually true for me, helmet season is end of March to the beginning of October).
She began to freak out at me until a courier mate that was waiting outside for me pointed out that I had no breaks. Then I went to mass and got shitfaced. #safetyfirst #CSB

Right, update, wheels and chainset. I was thinking as it's a black frame, keep it murdered out, play it safe. I've got black Omnium's lying around and I've got black TB14's laced to black high flange Gran Compe's with black sapims on the Bianchi. I did a mock build with the parts fitted and it worked really well, looked clean.
So obviously I've decided to do the exact opposite... Silver Omnium's, silver low flange Gran Compe's laced to Velocity "Aero" Track rims. The rims are shallow and are a light matt silver, should be a good contrast to the frame. I've got the cranks and hubs, rims are on the way.
