Expanding the Red Wing possibilities currently on here, offered are a pair of classic Red Wing Moc Toe boots - model 875, this model:
https://www.redwinglondon.com/products/red-wing-classic-moc-toe-boots-875These (as also noted elsewhere on here) are great boots - sturdy, waterproof, replaceable soles, look great and will last a lifetime. Reason for selling: wrong sizing for me. I was advised if they pinched a bit they would loosen / mould to the feet. They did not. But in trying to get them to I softened / conditioned the leather meticulously (Red Wing 'Mink Oil' regularly applied) while breaking them in so they are ready to wear and the beautiful deep tan colour they go after this process. General note: breaking in these shoes is a painful business, as I found out, so when I eventually get a pair in the right size I'll be getting them second hand - I genuinely think pairs with the leather broken in should cost more than new, not least as the leather is so thick they'll basically last for ever).
Generally great condition, some heal rub, priced accordingly (rrp: £279) - price £120 (plus shipping if required), £20 of which will go straight to the charity Open Arms. So that's basically £100 for the shoes, £20 for charity / good feelings.
Photos on the way, any questions / further images req., DM me.

Definitely OT sales thread here for one Naoto Fukasawa kettle designed for Muji. Pound for pound one of the best looking kettles you can buy - dazzle your design-loving friends with the Dieter Rams / Ulm school via Japan stylings of this kettle, designed by Plus Minus Zero design star Fukasawa. No longer available, they sell (on the other place) for close to £100 plus shipping from Japan, plus the problem that they wouldn't work anyway on UK voltage. This is a UK produced one, so plugs straight in... It's in excellent condition (I'll put a de-scaler through it prior to sale) and can post at cost (or, preferred, collection in N16). Selling as it's just too small for our needs as a main family kettle - it's capacity is 500ml (it's really well insulated and fully enclosed so it heats quicker) and so in big mug / small teapot territory, ideal for a studio or something like that (post-ride cup of tea?). Pictures below. Article with seductive images here:

Questions? Let me know. Price - £30?

This morning clarified that I’m definitely in the market for a burner as well @Chopsicle if / when you get to it. Vis other conversations here i’d be very happy to take a factory second / odd one if that saves you some work / materials / there’s one lying around that otherwise wouldn’t leave the workshop

Certainly could @mcvw - drop me a pm and I’ll work out the price

Hi there,
Definitely OT - clearing out and would like to find these a new home. All monies will go to Crisis.
Collection in Hackney or posted at cost.
Two classics, as good as their reputations.- Batman: The Dark Knight Strikes Again - Frank Miller / Lynn Varley. Hardback, published 2002 , basically perfect condition - just some colour fade to the thin bit of paper that wraps around the cover (obscuring Batman's face, and who wants that?). Internally excellent. £10 -> £8
- The Watchmen - Alan Moore / Dave Gibbons. Softcover (printed 2009), no damage, VGC. A real classic. £5.
Give to charity, get a book or two...

Very interesting. I was wondering since reading that road.cc article (above) how much work is being done on developing non-petroleum-based synthetics...whilst its great that a number of companies are using (often v. high %) recycled materials (e.g. water bottles to polyester, or old garments to produce new) there's still a connection (i.e. market / demand relationship) to petrochemical / fossil fuel extraction - even if it's using the so-called waste of this process. I realize this is one more can of worms, but would be curious to know what progress is being made on this (it seems to be possible from what I can find online...)

I have a 170mm Campy-style left side road arm if that's any good for you @chokalateboywonder

Hi there,
With apologies for being wildly off topic (or road-related at best), on the off-chance it's useful for anyone here - I have one of these:
https://www.shelterstore.co.uk/product/tudor-recycled-bollard
that I've never installed but stored for ages, so it's a bit dusty but basically new. Recycled, durable, fixed (ha), nearly £200 retail, free to a good home. Collection in Dalston, could put in the back of a cab/van if required (it's solid rubber/plastic so not for posting). Anyone?
