This is 'done' for now. Been riding it a lot lately and actually enjoying road riding for once. Changed everything but the wheels at this point. DA cranks and Evomax bars were the icing on the cake

Yeah most modern rims do this. Means the nipple sits flush against the rim. I would delace, check for cracks and only relace (correctly) if the rim looks safe
Ive already started to notice theres more cars on the road than previously which is a shame as thqt was what made it enjoyable
And thanks! Pressure washing it for summer has taken it from grimy and grey to clean and bright, very satisfying
