Selling a cross bike cheap if anyone wants to give it a go: http://www.lfgss.com/thread131159.html
-
Need money to fund some new wheels:
First is a complete cyclocross bike. Its a 55cm Roux Conquest bought new from Evans just over a year ago. Had a full service 6 months ago but sadly has been stored outside for its entire life. Selling because it never fit me very well and hasnt been used in the last 3/4 months. Fits a 55/56.
Brakes and gears all work fine but could do with a tune up. Parts of the brakes are a bit rusty but does work and all shown in pictures. Also has 'HTFU' and 'DAS' scratched into the stem (immature etc) but the stem is nothing special. Can be swapped out if need be.
I also put some brand new bar tape on which has never been ridden.Would suit those who want to try cross racing or want a wide tyres/slack geo commuter.
Good points: Drop bars, STI's, cantis, mid level rack mounts on fork.
RRP is 550 if memory serves correct but I'll start the price at £200. Feel free to make offers of what you think its worth.

Its just one guy running the whole thing at the moment, I know its frustrating but Im sure hes doing his best. Given how lovely and exceedingly helpful hubjub has been in the past Im more than willing to forgive them for a bit of inconvenience while they sort things out.
This. I'm going to stick with it because Drew's giving me great prices on some bits when he has no obligation to, but I would like to have the bits within the next two weeks.
He even said he'd send me an invoice 'within the next 5-10 minutes'. And that was yesterday at around 3 :/ -

I emailed them asking about a sale they had on about a week ago (whole website was marked down 20%). Yesterday I had an email from Drew explaining that the sale was a mistake but he would still honour the prices for me as I was abroad when the sale was on.
Absolute result. Don't be too quick to write them off, they clearly still care about customer service.

My opinion is only shaped by the bike shop because I believed them to be a trustworthy source. I think I remember the guy saying he'd seen plenty of broken archetypes but little broken rims that had eyelets.
And they're not a big chain nor was he trying to sell me anything so I felt inclined to believe him...apparently not
