I know nothing of this issue, but presumably we used to fish those waters under an EU deal with Norway. That deal likely remains in place, so the capacity we used to bennefit from could now presumably be used by another EU member - Denmark/Sweden being the geographically obvious options.
For Norway to not end up net out of pocket on the whole thing they would have had to have shrunk the rights for EU boats, and given them to the UK . I can't see how this would be a sensible thing for Norway to do.
It is yet another example (as if more were needed) of the absolute stupidity of this whole endeavour.

The one thing that might convince the Scots to stay is to say - look at the mess we've made of the border between NI/GB/ROI. In what way can an independent Scotland that manages to get back into the EU (which appears part of the core SNP argument) ever going to be a good thing now England are a third country?
Scottish Independence made more sense when we were all in the EU - but now we've gone hard Brexit I can't see how they could ever make it work.
Perhaps this has been discussed at length in the Independence thread?

I know you've purchased now, but I'm a convert to the "cowboy" method.
Boil some water, let it cool for 30 secs or so, add your coffee, stir and cover for a couple of mins, stir again (scrape off the crap if feeling fancy) let sit for 2 more mins, decant carefully into mug.
Lots of advantages - no extra kit, minimum faff, minimum rubbish - plus easy to brew a big pot for two plus people, or just do a small one for yourself.

I'm always for voting green as a case for building their base up, the hope being that in 10 years perhaps (optimistic) we're not suggesting that a vote for green is always wasted.
However, I'm also torn by the opportunity to ensure Khan smashes Bailey and help show that London rejects that politics.
As ever I'm even more confused by the local election choice. Kingston seems to be a really horrible place to do local politics - they are all at each others throats the whole time from what I can see on the local Twitter. No one seems to understand the awful reality of trying to run a local council at the moment and getting any accurate reporting of whats actually going on and whether the incumbents are doing a half good job is impossible.
Edit - There is no wider local election (other than a by-election mainly populated by monster raving loonies near me). We do thought get to vote for the Assembly member for SW London - is this where I should stick my green vote?

Agree to disagree I think. Tend to plan my bikepacking round fun descents where possible and dropping the saddle will be nice. Also on a couple of trips we've left our stuff at a bothy for an out and back. Planning on doing Ben Macdui this year and having a dropper will be useful for that!
The pic above isn't great and I think with my relatively small saddle pack I'll be fine.
Also, not having to uncable/recable the internal dropper is an extra bonus.

I've bought one of these topeak things to try the dropper / seatpack combo. Doesn't need the topeak pack. I havent actually tried it yet, but didnt cost the earth, which is refreshing for a bikepack product.

Choosing tyres is the worst thing about mountain biking. The choice is so complicated and manufacturers seem to revel in making it more and more opaque as to how their tyre range is divided, what their tyre in some randomly named construction is actually aimed to do and how it may perform . Add in the stock situation, poor online descriptions of what version of a given tyre you are actually buying and the wildly varying prices and it's an absolute minefield.

Not long after I joined the forum I found this thread selling items of Taxidermy and realised this place was a little different. The opening line has stuck with me:
I developed a bit of an ebay taxidermy habit when my wife was working
in Australia for year. Now she's back and she's not best pleased. The pictures have stopped working which is a great shame, as the pieces really were fantastic. It's also not clear if they ever sold. @benjybars - are they still available and can you fix the pics?

Front grip is not as high on my priority list - I'm still running a Wild Enduro up there and it grips for days.
The insert for me is all about trying to soften the back as much as possible, while preventing squirm and and protecting the rim. Hopefully they will help. I'm also looking to keep additional weight to a minimum.
Really I need a full sus I think. I'm getting more into trails with jumps and gaps. My ankles would appreciate all the help they can get with the impacts, though I'm sure technique could be a lot better as well. Problem is, there is only the money and room for one MTB, and as I also enjoy my bikepacking trips more than anything else in the year, the Cotic is best bet for now.
Gonna keep my eye out for a frame like a Transition Smuggler where I could move everything across, but the faff of having a bike I need to rebuild to use would get old quick I think.

The dot balls are the easy ones! I scored an under 8 match on Saturday. Favourite entry on the score card was a wide (2 runs) on which they than ran 2 more, then a poor throw meant they tried to scamper two over throws, but the none striker was run out (-5). Net total for the ball - 0 but not a dot.
