Supply is going to be an issue in the short to medium term if you want something to ride soon.
The second hand market is like the wild west at the moment, but if you're not too fussy there are loads of Enduro style things on pink bike / eBay for not silly money. You take your chances a little, but i just picked up the Cotic above and it's in A1 condition.
I half wanted a short travel 29er (Transition Smuggler was top of my list) but they are harder to come by at the right price and willing to post. The Cotic is lovely though and suits my bikepacking needs better.
If they are willing to do PayPal you may be able to use their credit option on there.

Hoffman did a video sort of covering this recently. The only grinder that comes in around £100 new is the Iberital MC2. Stock seems an issue at the moment, and I'm sure following his video, prices may have risen in the short term....I got mine a couple of years ago "on here" for under £50 I think.
It's between the MC2 and a Sage Pro for electric espresso grinding on a budget (plus options above), but the combination of lockdown and this video means prices are high.

I found it amusing that the setup here is almost exactly my set-up (although I have the older classic). He even got the same scales I use, but somehow I continue to exist without a knock box and just bash it straight into the food waste bin like an uncultured heathen.

+1 to this.
I'll give the mud another month to dry up before putting the speed kings back on. Going to try painting them with silicon to get them tubeless this year. Any experience?
I found they have lasted surprisingly well given how light they are. Hoping the tubeless gives me another season on them.

The batch stuff is interesting because it would explain why we are not seeing any issues here - My understanding is that all the AZ vaccine produced in the UK is currently being used in the UK, and that we are not importing AZ vaccine from the EU production sites that had all those issue ramping up production.
A dodgy batch will still be terrible for general vaccine safety reputation - all these "issues" seem to be the AZ one rather than any of the others.

Had a lovely trip out yesterday. Lots of different kinds of gravel, including hard mud, wet mud, bog, sand and actual gravel that could only be described as gravel. Not been to Chobham Common before so that was nice. Pic is of Burnt hill, which is apt following last year's fires.
You can have at it by following this - but my return route was a little different as I know Chatley Heath and all the best bits between there and Kingston. You'll have to find those yourself. Other tip - go up the footpath through Wentworth, not the road. It's a bit further down the hill on the right. Passed loads of 'Green Keepers' and they all said hello rather than piss off, which was unexpected.

The new variants part is the scary one for me. Christina Pagel, who has been pretty on the money with this so far, is basically saying if you open up this summer you create the perfect breeding ground for a vaccine resistant strain.
This monster thread also touches on all the other risks with opening up including vaccine disparity in deprived communities and long covid and how that is emerging as a concern in children.
I'm glad I'm not making the decisions, but I'd rather be safer than sorry with the opening up.

That may be so, but I've not read anything to suggest Tidal isn't better for artists than Spotify.
I'm all ears though. I have no emotional attachment to either, and if Spotify is comparable in renumeration, for me it would be slightly better from a user experience point of view, once it goes to hifi streaming.
-
Hmmm, interesting and tempting. I switched to Tidal to get the hifi streaming but also
appreciate the fact they pay artists nearly triple what Spotify offer. I don't think it's quite as good as Spotify in terms of algorithms, and none of my stuff can use MQA, but I still think it would be good if more people jettisoned Spotify in an effort to encourage them to improve their offer to artists.

The difference in experience of lockdown for parents compared to none parents is stark.
All I want is silence while my colleagues without kids crave anyone to talk to. I feel for them, but am relieved my needs, sorry, the needs of my children and their education, have been prioritsed!
I'm just about to finish a big project at work. Got loads of leave, so I'm taking next week off to help properly with the last week of homeschool, then taking another week for long bike rides, walks with my lady and no children and then just sitting in a quiet empty house. Can't wait.
Most people seem to be able manage it. Don't think it's as difficult as you're making out really and certainly not rocket science!
