You have to look at the specific geo to make an informed decision or face an expensive mistake. The 2 most important measures are effective top tube and reach.
Not knowing knowing if you are a gibbon or leggy doesn't help but the effective top tube on the 21.5 is mahoosive and very unlikely to fit you with a normal 70mm - 80mm stem. I ride a 627mm ETT with an 80mm stem at 6' (and that's probably a bit longer than normal) so you are unlikely to want to go above the 19.5" which has an ETT of 639 and will probably allow you to run a normal stem and bars.
Reach looks long too at 443 for the the 19.5" so the 21.5 must be designed for giants
ps looks a nice bike

FTP has aerobic and anaerobic elements. The more aerobic you have the higher the base your anaerobic starts from. Generally you push FTP up aerobically in the winter then pull it up anaerobically later in the year with the benefit that your aerobic takes longer to degrade and your anaerobic quicker to develop
Sweet spot does both but possibly isn't quite as deep an aerobic foundation as heaps of Z2 in the winter nor as efficient at anaerobic improvement as harder Z4/Z5 intervals. #traininghearsay

I've done the east half (Amberly to Eastbourne) and back which I'm told is harder than the other end.
It's not so much that the hills are steep (which they are) or long (which they are) but that they just keep on coming. My 29er FS is currently set up with a 1x10 30T front 11-36 rear which I think is verging on marginal for me for SDW as I was very glad of 24t granny and 36 in some places. -

ESIs are great but their consistency can be changeable. I have one pair that is a lot softer than the others have been.
I saw someone racing XC with a dropper at the weekend at Windmill Hill - it wasn't 'necessary' but he was faster than me! Personaly I don't want one because I fear needing it ever after plus I only ride XC stuff.

Stages have just updated firmware - let's see if it fixes my battery drain issues which have been persistent right from the start. If it doesn't and I get just one sodding problem with the replacement then SRM here I come.
P2M does left down stroke and right upstroke for left side balance and vice versa for right side so even with 'balance' there is an element of other leg involved.

In truth I don't know. My position is a function of what gives me reasonable power, weight over the front wheel, the ability to move around and has a modicum of attack/aero. It's quite long but not very low because my neck has to last 12hrs. I think I run the bars 3" lower than saddle.
