Going to put some miles in after work dunno if anyone wants to tag along. Will sound lame but need some more decathlon cereal bars. The other week I went back via the tunnel in greenwich and out by excel and got lost in a fun way. But the croydon to decathlon route is a certain.
Croydon(work) - Streatham - Brixton - Camberwell - Burgess Park - Canada Water(decathlon) - somewhere - somewhere - somewhere - somewhere - streatham(home)

It looks/feels ok on the back of a half built bike but I just wanted to avoid the whole wheel going bang on a first ride, the last one I redished was only like a 10mm spacer move so not as drastic. The spacers moved had been about an inch worth from drive side to non-drive side. I'm probably just over thinking it.

I have 2 of these now, grey and blue. Decent enough imo.

So I have finally got around to starting sanding away at an old bike I picked up for a project. Been very lucky a small ding in the top tube(which is step thru so won't notice as much and I can camo over with a protector or something) and that's it really.
Anyways, it doesn't have any drainage holes but from what I can see it doesn't have much/any rust either. Even the chipped away paint parts had little rust once I got the mud and crud off. Would it be worth drilling holes or could the cause more bad than good?
The plan for the bike is that after a respray and modern brakes+cranks it will make a nice bike for my partner to just pop to the shops and things on until she feels more confident and wants a better bike. It won't be left out in the elements and I doubt she will ride in the elements either.

Quick tech question- I'm running games at 1920x1080, with a Nvidia GeForce GT 650M.
Should I lower res? Havent really had any probs yet with Metro on low... but would it be better to lower the res and up the quality?^noob
Get fraps and sew how many fps you get, aim for solid 60fps with v-sync on. I tend to have 1080 with medium settings and AA x4 at most. Turning up AA will be a killer.

Pretty much just going to make some rides to the shops to get stuff more interesting. Going to try for every tuesday with varied routes.
Start/end meeting point will be outside the Crown & Sceptre/weatherspoons at the top of brixton hill.
Aiming to set off at 7:30pm and be back at 10:30pm.
Most of the time it will be via asda clapham junction so I will try to make stops semi regular for people to catch up/regroup. I shop fast but could be waiting in lines, feel free to get your own bits too.
Most of the riding will be clapham/brixton/streatham/balham/wandsworth/tooting/stockwell and surrounding areas, pretty much all the SW postcode areas.
For the most part the rides will be drink free but if people must then they can pick up cans in the shops and start/finish pub.
Post or something and I will put more effort into organising it with maps and stuff.

You can buy the seat post racks for about £15 new ont the bay of E
There are ways around not having eyelets at the dropouts btwYeah I know, P clips and seat clamp swap for one with eyelets. Just haven't had one of the seatpost beam style ones so wanted to try it out.
Will likely fleabay one but if someone has one they aren't using then makes sense, keeps stuff out of landfills and all that.

I use a messenger bag(the one in the link), the pockets inside are mostly filled with pump/patches/multitool/ect for cycling then the main bit I can put shopping or a change of clothes or whatever in.

For a messenger bag I find you need one that fits well and has a decent thick strap that spreads the weight across your shoulder/chest. If you try to lug bricks in one then it will put all the weight at the lower end and the bag will fall down/around you to be beside you more than on your back. You get a rough idea what's too full very fast, for me in the above bag it's 1kg bag of pasta, 750g pack of mince beef, pasta sauce jar and 1l lucozade as the limit, 2x lucozade and it's not happening.
tl:dr just buy a cargo bike
