Iv only sold things via bank transfer, ask the previous buyers with no problems. I even boxed up and sold a tandem a year ago for nearly £400. And trust me. Boxing up a tandem with 3 bike boxes is hassle to say the least. I love bikes and love cycling not that i ever get long enough to hold onto my bikes. I seriously dont know what to do about his situation.
I did have a paypal account though I had issues linking it to my new bank account with a new address. Like i said. Iv taken payment through my bank for items with no issues.

Reculver. I agree id be fucked off aswell. But im not sure what more i could do about it if i didnt pay for tracking. I sent all the items sold on the same day. If it werent for all the rubbish on this thread then id probably have reacted differently.

Kirth, give up with your contract bullshit. This aint ebay/amazon/gumtree. The police would somehow need to prove i didnt send the items rather than me proving that i did. How they would do this is beyond me. With a written statement from me and my solicitor saying that i have sent these items they would clearly not be able to prove otherwise.

This forum holds no responsibility and clearly states in rules that people should pay for items only via paypal with buyer protection and not as a gift. The people that bought these items clearly broke this "contract" by paying via bank transfer and not asking for proof of postage.

Contact the police. All of you. Im fine with that if you feel the need. like i said. give me the case number. il gladly contact them myself and make a full written statement that i sent all items without tracking as not requested. They will then have the long arduous task of trying to prove where the items have gone missing.

Responsibility of postage is on the buyer to request and pay for tracking surely. After that im not sure what more i can do than complete a missing items form with the postal service.

I can sympathies to a point that I have no idea what has happened to the items within the postal service and that normally I would try and resolve things. Perhaps I should have checked back sooner.
