Put a bit of washing liquid in your wash bag, you can then wash and rinse after your ride, it is what I just did in the Alps. No one wants to ride behind a stinky fucker, oooff.

The Rapha Pro team base is shit loads better than the Craft one, I have a few of them and they do a grand job. The Craft ones will go baggy after a few washes, the Rapha keeps looking like new.

Not washing after use will get you a nice fungal rash if you are not careful. Fook me.

Just got back, nothing but a s s Jersey was needed for each ride, it was fookin' hot even on the top of the cols. was there in September two years ago and wind jacket / race cape were fine. Wore Grand Tour gloves without any issues on that trip. I would say take everything you have as you never know what weather you will get.

Just got back from riding my Ultimate in the Alps, it was a great bike for this, much more comfortable than the Basso Diamanté I took a couple of years ago.

I was given an old pot of Grangers by the kind chaps at Rapha for a pair of white GT gloves I had. When used sparingly it didn't turn anything yellow.

Think your a bit early, from memory last years was the start of August – I could be wrong though.

The pot is tiny though. Very good mind and you don't need much. The balm will do a very good job of restoring dry leather.

I went Fuck Me That's Pinky Orange crazy, with jersey bibs and socks, I love it, especially as I ride in the evenings a lot. I think it is less of an assault on the eyes than the old pink PT jersey, I owned one of those but ended up sending it back.

The SKY Pro jersey is very much like the Pro Team jersey in fit, it may differ slightly in materials used, and it won't have a zipped pocket like the Pro Team does. Señor_Bear will give you a better answer than me though.

One thing I have noticed is that this years Pro Team jersey is different to previous versions, it seems to have more pocket space at the back. So, I would guess that the SKY jersey is more like the previous version of the Pro Team jersey?

Is this a game of guess the garment? I say base layer.
