Wiggle - ordered online because they quote in NZ$ for NZ and offer free fast (5-7 day) delivery if you spend over $100. When my order arrived the bar tape I ordered was missing from the box. Thought I was probably screwed because how do you prove something wasn't in the box. I sent them a quick email and a few hours later they replied stating they could see from their system that they had omitted it, profuse apologies and it is on its way to me already.
Mistakes happen, its how you fix them that matters. well done Wiggle.

I've been putting my 198? Rossin Record together and find that I can't finish it with a matching condition groupset unless I rob one of the other bikes so I will pay strong money for a pair of brake levers and a RD in new or close to new condition. I'm in NZ but can pay from my UK bank or Paypal (preferred) and if postage to NZ bugs you the bits can go to a friend in the UK who will send them on.
Little hope I know but I'm also searching for an FIR crankset and a pair of downtube shifters (I've got a BB, seat post and full brakeset).

3 / 4 years ago there were a lot less options in road disc forks. Most were CX style or horrendously expensive or heavy or both.
The Wound Up met the criteria in terms of price, handling, weight and capacity (ie I'm a fat old man (85kg) and these were for touring with 10 - 15 kg of luggage.
Personally I like the distinctive look although it tends to be marmitey.
ETA It probably looks front high in the photo - combination of bad picture and hanging the bars over the fence.

I'm still negotiating but there is quite a gap between what he wants for it and what I'm able to pay (as opposed to willing to pay) without selling one of my existing bikes. I culled the family when we packed up to leave England and just kept those I couldn't bear to part with and I still couldn't bring myself to sell any that would make a significant contribution to the price (eg Sancineto, Rigi, Koga....)

Custom build - although they have since added a disc model to the range. The plan was to use these forks but again these were a custom build and had an even longer build time than the frame so it had a different fork for the first few months till the Wound Ups arrived.
Also has special order Royce hubs.
Original saddle was Enigma's own but it wasn't a great fit for me so I replaced it with the armchair that is on there now.

Today I clicked over 7500 miles on my Enigma. i bought it 3 years ago as a do everything bike, these days its my luggage carrying tourer and winter trainer but it has never let me down, needed unreasonable or unexpected maintenance and is still my easiest to ride most comfortable bike. At the time it was a choice between an off the peg high spec Specialised Roubaix or a wait of months and lots more money for this. Except while I was waiting for it to be built, I have never regretted it for a moment (although I did later buy a Cervelo for outright speed). I now understand the maxim "The quality remains long after the price is forgotten".

Started messing around with mine, chased the BB (Italian of course) and got that all spinning sweetly with a Record crankset, took the ridiculous pista stem and bars off (look cool and panto'd but unrideable), fitted some brakes and then went looking through my wheels for something Campag 8 or 9 speed when I saw these blue tired Spinergys. Tyres are US and the cassette is Shimano so they won't be getting used even if I were going to risk death just for the look, but I thought it would be fun to sit them in there for a few days.

This bike is for sale and is tempting me although it isn't cheap. Ive never ridden a Serotta and I've never seen one of these. Reviews on the www seem conflicting - best ride ever - smooth - light - fast - sluggish - heavy - never going to win anything etc etc
Anyone on here have any real world experience? My intended use would be longish training rides, touring, Sunday cruiser etc. I already have several harsh lightweight speed machines so I don't need it for that.

Down under - meaning Australia or NZ? There is very little stuff like that here in NZ so if you are shipping a container just give it a good clean and bring it with you. I brought 17 bikes with me but I should have brought them all! Good luck from sunny Nelson, NZ.
