Generally use shimano cb-110 hubs. What are you swapping with bearings?also have to run a front brake here by law. I generally do to avoid the hassle but even as a bigger dude don’t have much trouble as it’s pretty flat. But I have 4 trashed velosteel hubs in the basement. Wonder if they are even worth trying to fix/practice on.

hmm will have to see, using a bb92 to threaded adapter with a threaded bottom bracket. this is a FGFS frame single speed so I guess ill find out.
Also I poked around a bit and spacer does not seem to go anywhere even if i stick something in and hammer on it. There is a little inside lip. i guess ill try going at it with a flathead or take it to the shop

Bought some press-fit to threaded adapters that the internet says will work. Bike is more or less a back up to the backup of something I would usually commute on. Maybe Some light fire-trail/dirt track stuff when I want to be extremely under biked and under braked. Current bottom bracket is making horrible noises and I am not really a fan of the BMX stuff Aesthetically on this bike

I'm about in that range, I prefer external bb cranksets for this reason. Have had less issues with them personally. As for wheels generally 36h double wall whatever and I have been fine. But also ride silly carbon front wheels a fair bit without issues. Just running a bigger tire helps a lot. I try to stay with 28c or higher.
