Tbh, just looking at his feedback confirms your thoughts - 7 negatives in 6 months, mostly from stuff being fake, but also for stuff not turning up and unpleasant comms. 8 negatives in the last year.
...not so bad when put up against hundreds or thousands of positives/a large amount of transactions, but he only has 59 positives in the last year. I'd avoid like the plague. Thanks for the heads up.

^that happened to me once, I sold a bike to a guy who ''needed it for commuting'' - about a month later it was on eBay, under the same bloke's account, with my photos and my entire description copied-and-pasted, confounded by the fact I'd fully serviced the thing myself prior to selling and outlined all the work I'D carried out in the description.
Oh and it was listed at a higher price...
