I thought BITWC was a pretty conventional film at heart: an overlong and fairly predictable love story, notwithstanding the whack of lesbian porn in the middle. Plus some slightly clunky symbolism and a kind of reactionary subtext about how class will out. Amazing acting though, especially from yer girl Adele.
The aleatorical elements were overplayed, don't you think?

I couldn't agree less. Digital will allow him to experiment at no expense, get immediate feedback by seeing the pics he has just taken, share them easily with other people who might have an opinion, shoot at all times of the day, indoors and out, just by adjusting the ISO.
Film is time consuming and expensive. It's the best thing ever invented for putting people off photography.I bought your friend's D7000 today, by the way, so though I think your advice is pure madness, thanks for the tip.

No, just running around being a nuisance as usual.
It was 1/15th at f4, 3200 with a D80.I've set up a Facebook page for my polo stuff and have been redoing old sets. I'd forgotten about this picture for about 3 years. Facebook is proving a great way of getting polo people to see the photos - my Flickr view count has gone up from 180,000 to 220,000 in a month.
It's here if anyone is interested.edited

And as per the article above the author recommends hi-vis clothing but oddly you don't mention that. Still, it's everyone's prerogative to pick and choose which bit of expert testimony they choose to believe.
I doubt it makes any significant difference one way or the other and it's just another dismal sidetrack of a discussion. -
